Hey Everyone,

I am currently documenting the build of my car but thought I would also make this dedicated thread for the wide body kit install. I noticed there aren't any current/updated wide body threads so feel free to use this one to post comments/feedback/questions about the kit.

Thanks!

All the parts were shipped without damage and packaged very well. Also, threw in a couple free goodies (shirt and lanyard)

I will be posting updates here this evening. Planning on popping into the shop and checking the progress. Car should be done early next week (hopefully).

I will try to provide some details on fitment and talk to them about any issues they had fitting the kit. During my test fitments everything seemed to line up really well with no issues at all. The shop even commented on the build quality saying it's one of the best they have seen on wide body kits. They recently did an install on a FR-S, stating that the Rocket Bunny kit was over trimmed when they got it and getting it to be flush with the wheel setup was difficult.

The fenders on this kit come completely untrimmed in the wheel well portion allowing for full customization of fitment. Go aggressive and completely trim them to allow for slamming the car or don't trim at all for stock height or mild drop cars.

Hopefully they can be molded. The widebody kits I personally like are ones like this for the C5.

Honestly, I like the rivet look. And no, it doesn't stem from the recent surge of "wide body" cars haha. I recognize that I am joining that club but I have always loved the flared wheel wells of the old Datsuns with V8 swaps or just the old days of when you could fit 10+ inches of tire in the back and have a nice deep lip. Hate the fact these cars have such high offsets.

The rivets will allow the kit to be removed in the future should anything happen, and it means there is zero chance of cracking, which is a huge issue when molded to the body. Seen so many bad mold jobs that end up cracking at the seam.

Oh yeah, RIVETS ARE WAY CHEAPER lol

I'm sure it will look awesome. Maybe paint the rivets black or just source black ones or body color them. Just my .02

Oh I will no doubt be having the rivets blacked out or body matched to reduce the rivet look.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting though. It's always nice when people participate in threads haha, especially when it's respectfully.

good points about the cracking. I think most of the problems we've seen is all those sema cars made the rivets look more than obvious and they stood out more than the actual wide body.

Yeah I agree. I won't be able to source my own black rivets but it only takes a few minutes and some touch up paint to "hide" them.

I don't think I've ever really liked a widebody on any car, but I'm really excited to see something new and different.

Subbing to this thread to see the awesome.

Thanks! This kit is definitely different than the Stage 3 or Alpha Male Performance kits that are out there.

Right off the bat, the kit is much better quality than the Stage 3 kit. Having seen both kits in person, before and after install, this one is a much more practical and well thought out. The Stage 3 and AMP look nice but it they have no breaks in the body panels meaning if you wanted to remove your bumpers to replace a bulb, or work on the car, you would have to remove the fender flares. This kit has breaks at each body panel to make it practical and easy to maintain/upgrade the car.

Stopped by the shop as promised and gotta say, things are moving along nicely. They have been really slammed with like 6 cars in the shop but mine is making it's way up the list slowly but surely.

Today they started the fitment testing and said that they are pretty impressed with the quality of the kit. Based off the photos and the front piece mounted very roughly, I think the kit is going to look amazing when finished. I will definitely be needing to run spacers, even with my wide and by normal standards low offset. Rough estimate, it looks like 1in (25mm) spacers up front and 1-1.5in (25mm-38mm) in the rear for flush fitment.

Stay tuned for more. If you have any requests for angles for photos let me know.
