Maybe more like GT500KR... It already has a "Predator" engine so adding another name to it may make it sound silly.

Ford Showed off the 5.2 Aluminator XS Engine at the Woodward Dream Cruise that made 580 HP Naturally Aspirated. It has GT 350 heads but cross plane crank and cobra jet intake, and kooks headers. I bet this is the base architecture for the new GT500 minus the kooks headers and cobra jet intake but with a supercharger or twin turbo. If Roush Supercharger kit can take the stock 5.0 from 430HP to 670HP (stage 1) or 727HP (stage 2), my math shows 580HP + 240HP = 820HP. My prediction is it will be detuned to around 740HP-750HP. It wont have the cobra jet intake and kooks headers which will reduce some HP.

Glad the AWD Challener info got posted, a lot of people doubting that Ford couldn't pull off an AWD GT500 yet Dodge can do it. Ford is driven and has proven it will do the impossible.

My prediction is the GT500 will follow the GT350 model year scheme, it will be announced before the end of MY17 to meet the 50th Anniversary moniker with a limited production for MY17 and Main production will begin in MY18. All the same as the GT350 rollout with the 127 2015 models as anniversary editions.

I can agree to most of this, but there were 137 2015MY 350s.

The Chrysler L* platform (Charger, Challenger, 300, Magnum, etc) was designed from the start to accommodate AWD. Nothing earth shattering. The S550 would need a complete overhaul. If you can figure out where to put transfer cases and front drive systems in an already crowded chassis, I'm and I'm sure Ford, is all ears.

thanks

but seriously. even though a fabricated chassis. I wonder if there is any connection to a feasibility study of an 850 Hp AWD drivetrain with Ford sponsoring this vehicle...

It's not that hard.

The chassis will be/ has been modified.

Simple as that.

We aren't' talking about starting with a GT/gt350 and adding "parts."

AWD? No problem.
Just mount the motor in a conventional FWD layout and go from there.
There is plenty of room when you do it like that.
Problem solved.

Yes this has been done before (C6 Z06 vs base C6) but do you truly see that happening? C'mon...
