AWD? No problem.
Just mount the motor in a conventional FWD layout and go from there.
There is plenty of room when you do it like that.
Problem solved.
A transversely mounted V8 in a Mustang?

You guys cannot be serious...

YEP.....just look at the horns (frame rails) on the S550. They are a bit different. In fact, they look more something you would see on a FWD car.

R is to GT350 as KR is to?
Exactly...maybe we could have a GT500 with all the amenities (auto/manual choice), optional Magneride and comforts and then a GT500KR that has strictly a manual, power bump (akin to a tack key upgrade), Magneride standard and weight reduction?

I don't believe there is enough room to do an AWD V8 S550. The Coyote sits low and to the rear but not enough to clear the axle. Just getting that out of my inbox first.

The KR could very well be a more Race/Track orientated.

Why'd they hold back the KR with manual only?
The KR would be the fastest. So it would get the new auto at least as an option.

They will not let chevy and mopar steal the lime light by offering a manual only.

thePill rallied against a 10 Speed Auto for a long time. I was shown how it's nearly impossible to optimize a manual shifts and keep it straight.

I feared that the R&D would increase the MSRP above the assumed target MSRP. I don't want a $70,000 base GT500. That doesn't seem like that was the case.

Have you heard anything about a Hot V set up? That is the only way to run two turbos or a sequential/compound turbo and that absolutely needs to happen.

They are talking 800+hp!!! What system is left? Even 750hp would take something like the Powerstoke uses now. Or a Hot V Twin because a parallel twin turbo won't fit.

Can't make over 670hp legally with a supercharger either unless, like you say, they go up to...

...7 liters...

I say that because of the possible power bump exceeding the capacity of an auto... Say maybe 750hp with GT500 and 810+hp with the GT500KR.

The refreshed Hellcat is supposed to be putting down ~750hp according to the guys on the challenger forums. If this is going to steal the crown, 750hp won't cut it. It's getting more and more interesting to follow.

800 lb./ft. torque, so it's a pretty stout transmission. Horsepower, I don't know.

The rating will follow a similar Voodoo/Aluminator HP to Tq ratio.

800hp and 670tq is about the max.

However, making an A10 ONLY, specific Predator 808hp/800tq GT500KR would be neat.

The base GT500's are manual ONLY and are around 700-725hp.

Did you hear if the GT500KR was auto specific? Apparently the A10 is where they show off the acceleration.

808hp/800tq?!?!?

It needs 325's and a 315 up front lol.
