We have not commercialize the harness. we were busy actually launching a unique audio solution for private jets....
anyway, regaring the changes with the convertible top. One function I suspect, but have not confirmed is that the ANC (active noise cancellation) system for the ecoboost turns off...
be aware that these new speakers will affect the noise cancellation and sound synthesis added into the audio stream. Do a serch regarding disconnect of the rear microphone to disable the feature and prevent droning.
"When I first heard of the ESE being piped in through the speakers on the GT350 of all cars, I couldn't believe it. But once I turned it off, @JAJ nailed it. It sounded like all of a sudden there was extra sound insulation. I wanted to like it with it off, but honestly....and I hate to admit...
it is my understanding that the GT does NOT have ANC. ANC is used for the low frequency resonances of the ecoboost 4 cylinder, and the sound enhancement is used on ecoboost and shelby.

So it seems that you will loose the fade feature with an aftermarket amp since it must be sent as a command via CAN to the DPS for MY'18, instead of managed within the headunit of previous models?
not that fade adjustment is critical after you tune the system to your preference anyway ........

So who owns a business and is leasing or owning with full expense writeoff?. I am meeting with my tax advisor literally monday to discuss this. I am a partner in an audio development company and we are developing audio products for the Mustang, I intend to use this vehicle for that product...
got it!
and there are harnesses out there like Parrot and Hexall (frequent poster on this site) that make the harnesses with RCA's
I was considering offering them but just got too busy with other things.........
there are many people on the board that have bought the forescan tool (various interfaces available to plug into OBDII) and software.
there is a large string on Forescan for Gt350 for example and many examples of features to change, disable, or enable.
base audio has an internal amplifier in...
Ford uses sound design (engine enhancement) for both the ecoboost and the Gt350. These are suplementary frequencies that are intended to blend with the audible exhast tone to create the desired sound signature. The tunes are obviously different for each.
you can disable this with a forescan...
I think the amp requires the CANbus comunication that the base radiohead is not sending? you can use forescan to change the configuration of your radio ( i do not know exactly how to help you with this, but many posts on this topic) or....... you can use an aftermarket amplifier that takes the...
I love everything about this article (except the styling cues of the vehicle.) It reminds me of when I started my career at Ford, part of a brand new team using a new launch process call co-location and World Class Timing. A redefinition of the entire product launch process. That was 1991. Our...
Thanks Spart for this update
I am working on some audio technology for the mustang and continue to research this topic.
It is my understanding that ANC (Active noise cancellation) and ESE (Engine sound enhancement) are separate features and independent of each other.
Noise cancellation...
