Rock Chips Anyone?

Mine has the 3M protective film. The stripes were glossy before. However, on my Boss, which had matte stripes, the film made them look a little glossy.

If you had some one to install it I can send you a kit and get someone to install it that know what they are doing on the side money or buy a kit from Suntek or Xpel direct shipped to your door.

A front kit cut mirrors forward should be about 600.00 to 700.00 US direct plus 200.00 cash to a private installer is about right if you ordered from me I'll cut it and ship it to you for 700.00 Canadian which should be about 480.00 US dollars plus shipping.

I got a pretty nasty chip myself that went through the paint. Must be some thin paint or a big rock.

Did you find a Installer that can install PPF on your car yet?

I asked before but I missed if it was answered. Can you vinyl wrap OVER ppf? At least on the very front? I want to wrap my car but I understand that wrap doesn't offer much protection (probably similar to the stripes that rocks seem to have no problem cutting through). I thought PPF on front edges and then wrap the whole car.

There are quite a few, most do a custom job and wrap the entire front end.

Sadly, already have a few chips. 2 in the stripes, 2 in the bumper

I should also add - it's nice of you to offer to help out by providing the materials and cutting at what is very likely close to your cost. I just want to point out that this seems like a favor to fellow forum members as opposed to a "vendor" activity - just in case mods see this and want to shut it down.

After having mine done I would see it difficult getting a shop to install and warranty the materials you didn't buy from them. It might save you a couple 100, but that might bite you in the long run. I would recommend just pony up and get it done. Unless of course you are installing it yourself or have a buddy that can, then derand is going to be the way to go.

Now that I have mine I enjoy driving the car way more.

so the hood piece is laser cut too? i was told no laser can cut sheets more than 60'', and the hood is longer or wider than 60''.
