Has your hood and front fenders been okay?Correct the rear quarter has a lot more chips than the front.
If the rear quarter area is being hit from stones kicked up when the car is turning, as some have suggested, then the splash guards may not help that much. Because I could envision the stone being kicked up as the front turns in, hence missing the splash guard due to the angle of tires. Then as the rear part of the car rotates and catches up to the same angle, it's open to a hit from the stone that's in flight. Probably why all Porsche 911s have had stone guards on the rear quarter panel from the factory. Still, the splash guards can't hurt and seems relatively inexpensive to try.
