I like to disassemble things.
Unless a Super Duper Dark Horse Extreme Supreme is built by Ford. But with Jim Farley around, it would be some EcoBoost engine.
Not a GT500 or a GT500 replacement.
Just under 600hp, naturally aspirated, 5.2L cross plane crank, DCT or manual (you read that right), with a heavy track focus. Project has yet to be killed as far as I know. Built in Detroit and not in Markham.

Sounds good, but under Jimmy Farley? I’ll believe it when I see it. The dude is destroying Ford from the inside.

It sees like the licensing agreement between Ford Motor Company and Shelby American has ended. So a GT500 is highly unlikely.

Ford provides the engines and chassis to Multimatic in Canada, so this is more likely the scenario. Unless a Super Duper Dark Horse Extreme Supreme is built by Ford. But with Jim Farley around, it would be some EcoBoost engine.
Dang...the legendary Dark Horse SES

Absolutely positively not. The only possible shred of truth to this is that they will have to begin to produce new supercharged 5.2's for the GTD and that may be labeled Legend, but it not for a new GT500 as Ford didn't renew their Shelby licensing agreement which is why they have the Dark Horse product line now instead of Shelby models.

5.2 NA GT350 Engine- Voodoo
5.2 SC GT500 Engine - Predator
5.2 SC Raptor Engine - Carnivore
5.2 SC GTD Engine - Legend ???
Sounds good, just thought I'd share from the M7G forums. I also doubt there will be a '26 GT500.

It's interesting though, that Ford made SN197 GT500's but no GT350's (that I'm aware of) until the S550 came along.

They had the Boss
Indeed. I'm referring to Shelby models, or lack of a SN197 GT350 from Ford. SA turned some SN197 Mustang GT's into GT350's and turned the GT500 from Ford into Super Snakes.

Having been born & raised in Detroit with family members that all worked for the Big 3, I got some inside information about the new specialty Mustang coming up.
It is going to be a S650 Mustang Ghia.
The original 1974 4 cylinder Ghia had 88 horsepower, and Ford promises to deliver DOUBLE the horsepower to 176 hp.
I was warned NOT to share photos of the new S650 Ghia that were shared with me by family members… but boy will you be shocked to say the least!

I got some more insider info:
It is going to be a hybrid with a 1.0 liter Ecoboost 3 cylinder pumping out a whopping 123 horsepower and a Ryobi electric power train adding 53 more horsepower.

This is HIGHLY confidential secret information, so DON’T post this on the internet!

This popped up in the GT500 Shelby FB, thought I'd put it up here since there is a convo on there about a leaked Document on a GT500.

The name I’ve seen floating around is Dark Horse Boss, which ties somewhat to what AngelDeath posted.

I think it’s well known at this point that Ford did not renew their license with Shelby for S650, without that license you won’t see GT500 on a Ford/Ford Performance product. It will have to come from Shelby American (which is why SA released the GT350 for S650).

I would love something like this in a street car! Hell, might even be a replacement for my Voodoo if it craps the bed and this engine ever makes it into a production car.

Is there any legal issue with Ford making a Mustang GT500, without the Shelby name?
that’s what I was thinking when I read the document šŸ™ˆšŸ™‰šŸ™Š
