I haggle with the best, but there's no wiggle room when another dealer offers your dealer $5k for his only allocation.
I'm lucky that he just passed it on to me without markup.

Voodoo you’re correct. I couldn’t agree more.

It kind of stems from people’s fear of confrontation and the skill of haggle.

When I purchased my ā€˜16R the ADM was 28k. An odd number, and at the end of the day I walked out with a 5k ADM. This was in summer ā€˜16. The height of the madness.

I purchased out of province, called one day and they laughed at me. I told them I’m coming to visit Saturday. They said sure see you then jokingly.

So I showed up, an out of towner (I had business there anyway) and dropped my offer 50min before closing, at the end of the month too.

GSM called the owner at home and they both reluctantly agreed. I had to tell them about four times I was serious and I’m going to GIVE them an additional $5,000 above the MSRP right then and there, but not their asking ADM of 28k.

It worked and they enclosed trailer shipped it 450miles for only $500.

Thats a beautiful car. I still have a soft spot for the 350s. To me its a totally different car

He had to buy it from another dealer, or else the adm would be even lower than very fairly priced bottom 5

Finally found one at $5k MSRP. The dealer was holding firm at $7500 over but eventually they reached back out and said they’d do the deal at $5k over. About 2.5hrs away from me in my state.

I did run across a dealer that said they had a golden ticket allocation about an hour from me. They implied the allocation was still available to reserve but when I pressed further he said he’d check into it and get back to me. I’m not interested in the golden ticket but if someone wants to call the dealer and see if it really is available/the markup, you can PM me.
