It's been a while since we've had any teasers on this. What gives?

I figured with all of the ZR1 & ZR1X headlines in the news lately, Ford would drop one of their monthly planned 'spy' teasers on Ford Authority just to keep folks interested. The last 3 have been about the wheels & tires, which has been lame. Give us something with some substance.
Speaking of the ZR1s, I recently heard there is an even more powerful model still to come after the ZR1X. Apparently, what everyone thought was supposed to be the ZORA, with the ZR1X, was a bait and switch with the actual ZORA still to come, in the 1400+hp range.

GM/Chevy has said there’s more to come/more C8 evolution. Have not seen 1,400 hp though

I haven't heard exact specifics, but it falls in line with the model progression, and what's the point if they don't throw the book at it? Why add another model if they're not adding 100+hp?

Standard = 490hp
E-ray = 655hp
Z06 = 670hp
ZR1 = 1,064hp
ZR1X = 1,250hp

I no longer believe it'll be 5.4L of fun. Cross plane, naturally aspirated 5.2L....maybe.
That's more than Ford has given us lately!
I forgot their media teams are probably busy shmoozing up all of the GTD buyers taking deliveries. Meanwhile they'll help out the tuners and release the hounds so they can increase stock 5.0 sales, and the other guys can wait. :giggle:

I wonder if “Legend” a leaked name would still be used by Ford or if they would change it so that it remains confidential 🤔

I am pretty sure that Zora stuff is false. The ZR1X is definitely the Zora. For years people knew that multiple models were coming out and the Zora was always electrified and at the top. GM never confirmed that there would be another model coming out....they meant the C9 is in the works. And who would have guessed it would be called the ZR1X? That's a stupid name. They didn't call the E-Ray the StingrayX...they stole the 'X' moniker from BMW for their xDrive vehicles.
