I've seen this topic for years, and have always wondered if it's actually galvanic corrosion? I used to supervise a powder coating prep line for a major tractor manufacturer for about 15 years, and we had issues almost exactly like this on our steel parts occasionally. (FYI, yes, I know these...
They do something similar to this in Nebraska every fall, if you don't want to travel as far. I've never been to it but want to. There is a 55-mile road course, a 12-mile road course, a 1-mile and a half mile top speed shootout. Top speed record in the standing mile is 224mph.

They swapped a larger Whipple supercharger onto the GTD for testing to see how much more time they could squeeze out of it. More than likely, they will just have Eaton upgrade the current blower to match and/or improve the power that the Whipple produces on this test vehicle, on either the 2nd...
Is the dealer doing the oil changes, and are they actually filling it accordingly? I've been shorted at the dealer before with new techs.
I know the 2018-2021 F150's have major oil consumption issues, and there have been a few class action lawsuits for it. I just assumed the same Gen Mustangs...
How much is this re-brand going to cost? Are they changing everything over that's currently labeled Ford Performance across the entire catalog? Don't the newly advertised Ford Performance add-on packages, current Raptors, and some of the Mustangs come with the Ford Performance badges and door...
Ford is holding the titles for the first 2 years of ownership, if I remember correctly. I believe that was mentioned on Jay Leno's video. Would both people have to carry insurance if someone 'sold' their car early or transferred ownership?
I just saw a 20 GT350R Heritage wrapper car pop up for sale on a Shelby Facebook page this morning. It looks like his asking price includes a few years of appreciated value already. Or are they actually approaching north of $150k already?
If Dodge is already swinging for the fences with the Durango Hellcat Widebody Fatboy Hemi-ScatFat Jailbreak, than Ford should meet them head-on with the Godzilla and just go balls to the walls! Drop one in the new Lobo F150 while we're at it and just desecrate what's left of the competition! The...
Found it! Ford brought it to Carlisle 2 years ago. That would give them plenty of time to work out the weight dynamics of the car, and would explain the massive brakes on the front of the new prototype!
I originally never thought it would be a chance, but as I was reading your comment, I remembered a video I just saw recently of Revan Evan doing a video on the 7.3L and Ford was showing a prototype intake they had to design so they could fit a Godzilla into the Mustangs with a different intake...
That's more than Ford has given us lately!
I forgot their media teams are probably busy shmoozing up all of the GTD buyers taking deliveries. Meanwhile they'll help out the tuners and release the hounds so they can increase stock 5.0 sales, and the other guys can wait. :giggle:
I haven't heard exact specifics, but it falls in line with the model progression, and what's the point if they don't throw the book at it? Why add another model if they're not adding 100+hp?
Standard = 490hp
E-ray = 655hp
Z06 = 670hp
ZR1 = 1,064hp
ZR1X = 1,250hp
I figured with all of the ZR1 & ZR1X headlines in the news lately, Ford would drop one of their monthly planned 'spy' teasers on Ford Authority just to keep folks interested. The last 3 have been about the wheels & tires, which has been lame. Give us something with some substance...
