Fords QC has been terrible and moving downhill the last several years, that's why they supposedly had a recent revamp. Mismatched headlights, badges, seats, paint issues, etc. I think the Bronco rollout is what finally triggered them to do something.

Pretty specific questions for him to ask. Sounds like your 'buddy' was talking 💩 about the situation before you got there with the car, or the owner didn't want to do the job at his shop. I'd say the price they charged you is also indicative of something of the sorts.
I have several buddies...
I pull the battery out of the car and charge it in the spring. No way in hell i'd trust a cheaply mass produced battery tender. Especially the way production and quality control have gone downhill the last few years. If it starts a fire, the garage goes with the car, and the house too, if it's...
That doesn't quite math out. 17% of the population are Baby Boomers, and over 40% of those can't afford to retire, so they're still working. Rounding up, that's only 10% of the population retiring. Add in your quote, 'labor force participation for those between 25 and 54 is actually greater...
I've been wondering the same thing the last few months and then I heard this astonishing stat on the radio the other morning(see below). Scary this is what our society has become. You could argue that more and more people are living together to cut costs because of affordability, or you could...
That looks extremely similar to the GT3 that Multimatic is also making. The spoiler, rear diffuser, wheels, grille opening and front fenders look identical. It appears to be a street version of the GT3. The rear does look wide enough to be mid-engine.
Speaking of dorks, ML tweeted this a few months ago, and someone asked him if this is where the Dark Horse name originated. He didn't exactly say yes, but he liked the tweet. Then, to make matters worse, I saw the Predator name and almost got nauseous. Please don't tell me a bunch of comic book...
While I don't personally own a Mach 1, i've been scouring the for sale markets for a 10-14 Grabber Blue GT500/Roush for the last several months. I've noticed almost twice the amount of 21+ Mach 1's for sale in the last month, than there were previously. I first noticed many dealers advertising...
Only thing I can find is that it's a 74.5 mm pulley versus the 80 mm on the GT500, which gives it a 7,000 rpm redline versus 7,500.

There isn't very much info out there on it yet, but I found this on the Ford Performance site.
Also found this small article put out recently on it.

It looks like this conglomeration is still running around at Ford.

I believe they only had plans to build around 1,500 Raptor R's in the first model year. How many GT500s have they been averaging a year? 1,500 plus a few crate engines is probably just enough to keep the niche line going for another year or two.
I can see the higher HP drag cars maybe doing it if they're worried about grenading the DCT, being passed it's max hp & torque specs. Other than that, i'm not sure if the cost would be worth the benefit.
Ope, ya beat me to it, I didn't see that over there. I usually just glance at thread titles before posting so the admin doesn't have to combine repeating threads.
Saw this on their Facebook page yesterday. HPJ Performance (no affiliation) is doing 6 speed (T56) manual conversions for the 2020+ GT500. I'm sure it will be a 50/50 split on the 'WHY?!?' and the 'About damn time!!' crowds. No idea on the pricing, and their website hasn't been updated for it yet.
If you get this pinned down and built correctly, there's a good chance of being in the forefront of coming out with an AWD conversion kit. Find a good local shop to make the parts you need, sell the kits with or without the transfer cases...
