NSK, Timkin or?

Which is the best for longevity? Mine are starting to make noise.

Another vote for TIMKEN. Quality parts, never had an issue or premature failure in any car where I’ve used TIMKEN bearings or hub assemblies.

Timken, I used them all of the time when I was building engines, rear racing motorcycle hubs etc. If your drag racing do some research on Ceramic Racing bearings choose the correct ones for your application. Good luck

Timkin used to be my go to but I have run into some quality issues since they went off shore.

We used SKF in the steel mill they broke just like everyother.

I went with NSK since that is what a cummins engine engineer recommended.

I figured out that at least the driver’s side axle but loosens itself leading to bearing noise. Use some thread lock when replacing.

They still have to follow exact quality control measures. Its just the labor is cheaper offshore. That's its.

I went with Moog 5k miles ago, no complaints yet. I’ve used them on all my Ford and foreign cars with no issue.

I think I may have some rear wheel bearings going out. In this thread are you guys talking about replacing the whole hub assembly or can the inner splined section be pressed out from the lug stud portion and the bearing itself be replaced? Does anybody make a beefier assembly? It is my understanding the Ford Performance version is just a stock assembly with ARP studs...do I have this correct?

Would you still recommend MOOG for wheel bearing replacement? I want to do both rear. Can’t find play in either, but I hear roaring and now my Advanctrac lights are coming up on the dash

I do not recommend Moog hub/wheel bearing assy. I had the rear clicking noise I was trying to cure so I bought a new Moog 512517 off Amazon, specifically to use an American sourced product. Made in China on the box!? I threw the dice and installed in March of this year. Noticed a strange roar from the rear a couple of weeks back. Jacked up the rear and tested for play...4K miles and that Moog bearing is toast. Stick with OEM or Timken and save yourself a headache

If it’s the driver’s side and you didn’t threadlock the hell out of that nut, then the issue is not the bearing, it’s ford’s choice of axle nut system.
