i recently had a set of steeda minimum drop springs installed on my 21 gt(base,300a,10r80),along with ford performance track struts and shocks(m-18000-f),there was a rattle from the rear and a clunk from the front after installation from the start, the entire package was installed at a dealership that has done a number of "RTR-SPEC-2" conversions,a call to ford performance netted no results as they won't dicuss their parts if not installed with their springs,a call to STEEDA'S tech line said that in their experience most noise comes from sway bar end links.i took the wheels off and checked for any loose nuts....everything seemed tight.my question is could the end links be "too tight" or over-torqued?steeda assured me that their springs "do not cause noise" and the problem must be in the installation.i have to say that except for the intermittent rattle/clunk,the set-up is smooth comfortable and tight and very comfortable for the street.

so,after nearly a month on the STEEDA MINIMUM DROP SPRINGS and FORD PERFORMANCE TRACK STRUTS/SHOCKS and two trips back to the install shop for torque check and recheck,I;m still getting rattle/clatter from the rear,a discussion with STEEDA TECH said that the "ford performance m-18000-f" strut/shock kit was not an optimal match,I travel on a street recently being prepared for paving,so they scraped the surface pretty good,I got a rattle that sounded like a muted machine gun resonace,I'm wondering if the shocks are not allowing the spring to seat and allowing the spring to rattle around in the seat,i'd appreciate any feed back, the steeda tech did sat that their "pro active was a better match for that spring.

Did you replace your spring isolators with the new springs? I just installed new rear springs on my 2019 Bullitt with 8K miles on the odometer and the isolators (uppers and lowers were torn). When they tear, the end or pigtail on the springs can make contact with the spring seats or perches and cause noise. See link for more info.

Make sure the sway bar end links are properly torqued. It's 80 Ft/lbs or a touch more

I have the Steeda Min drop springs with the Ford Performance Track Struts/Shocks. It is a fantastic match. In 3+ years I have had no noise or any other issues.

I thought i'd done enough research, but after the install things went down hill quick,on smooth surfaces it's great, but on low speed rough surfaces it gets crazy with the rattles and resonance,I'm still inclined to think it's the install,I was thinking that maybe the rear shocks are so stiff that they may be allowing the rear springs to "float" between the isolators, that's what it feels/sounds like!

Does not matter how poorly matched spring and damper there won't be any rattle. There is no way your set up should have any noises at all if assembled correctly...it's not difficult. Steeda even seems that config.

It's 100% assembly issue or isolators (also an assembly issue since damaged ones should not be reinstalled), or defective parts.
