Clunk after Spring/Strut install.

So I did some research and after having retorqued the entire rear suspension and unloading like BMR suggested I still have a clunk. For the life of me I can't figure it out. Everything is tight and to spec. It's coming from the driver rear and only happens on bumps or dips. I'm guessing it's the strut. Is it possible I got a bad strut?

I have the same thing right now, except I only swapped the springs so I'm still on stock struts. I'm swapping out the springs to get a lower stance but I'm also curious to see if the sound goes away as well.

I have seen this with Eibach's that I've installed - but not every install.
Are you either driving slowly and hitting a bump (rears) and getting the *clunk*? Or sitting still or moving slowly and turning the steering wheel back & forth and getting it from the front..?
I've seen the front spring (Eibach) when compressed actually clock over the spring seat stop on the shock body.. I'm assuming the upper strut mounts have to indexed in a certain way (I've learned the hard way) when remounting on the fender..?
I'm getting ready to go to a lower spring and have lowered many cars but it always iffy...

okay,I had clunk and it was because the strut bolt right in the middle was not tightened enough, try to tighten it as much as possible but dont use impact gun as that will make it too tight and squizzee the bushing,i ended up clamping the strut from the bottom inside the dust boot with some fabric in between just so the strut does not get damaged with the clamp and tighten it with a 20mm socket on top. Those struts likes to spin so most likely you are not going to tighten it just by using a rachet

You can absolutely use an impact gun on the rear damper strut mount. Also make sure your endlinks are tight.

He's talking about the top nut on the strut itself.

We disassembled everything and reinstalled it. No more clunk, but I don't know what was actually the cause. I'm guessing one of the struts.
