just installed bmr handling springs on my GTPP and I have a significant clunk from the rear passenger side when I hit bumps in road. everything is tight. any ideas?
its the spring not correctly seated. jack it up. just loosen the bolts u did when installing it a bit and twist the spring by hand until it seats correctly. make sure the lil rubber pad on the spring isnt all bunched up as well. had same issue on mine. 10 minutes on a lift to twist the spring into proper place problem solved.
i didnt cut the bump stops on mine however the new springs i purchased came with new bump stops. but logically speaking for there to be a clunk then there must be a metal contact being made. if the spring is in fact seated properly as you indicate then perhaps there is a tell tale mark from whatever is hitting and making the clunk. you may be able to see the impact area and make a further determination from there.
You definitely need to cut the bump stops. It's not as critical as with the performance springs as the handling ones are much firmer rate, but they still need to be cut.
It's probably the subframe bolts or the springs not being fully seated in the control arm.
