@op, this. TJ put me in contact with their suspension guy, and after telling him my simple wants he gave me a thorough and lengthy explanation particular to my car and use case. Fabulous.

By all means.

I went thru the same process and got a setup I was not entirely enthralled with. But to be fair I'm the kind of guy who wants to see the damping curves and can notice such things as the ford M1 magride tune has a pernicious flaw that it yanks the rebound damping before the oscilllations have settled down so yoi get an unnecessary bounce.

Or the kind that argues the shim stack config with Fortune Auto and pisses off their head of r&d telling him he needs 2 maybe more 0.3mm shims on the rebound face and a check valve on his bleed circuit.

For normal people Steeda consultation will be fine.

if you go progressives route you definitely have to get bumpsteer kit. Drop more than an inch will cause issues up front (bumpsteer). I hated it.

I didn’t get a bumpsteer kit but switched BMR Handling springs ( for a steal of a deal locally) & fixed me right up. .75in drop up front & .50in rear (aggressive street spring rates)

conversely could’ve gone min drop steeda springs (.5 drop all around) and that would’ve fixed me up too.
(street friendlier spring rates)

just my experience.

First off I just want to thank everyone for responding to this thread and putting in their 2¢.
That being said I think this is the way I’m going to go:

Should be pulling the trigger by the end of the week!

They are divorced spring just like everyone else.
And with heavy front spring you don't need more bar, you can use less.

He was referring to the MCS. It’s a coilover rear.

Since when? Then the rear spring rate is wrong. Should be 400-450. Otherwise the 750 on shock axis is about 1250-1500 in normal location. That's Steeda dual-rate hard.

And I don't trust the upper mount or the sheet metal.

Ford and general wisdom is going the other way.

The motion rate is 0.77 I believe (@***** can correct me if wrong). So 750*1.77= 1327 which is high but not that high. I will switching to a convertible rear bar from the 350R bar.

The spring rate is the same rate Vorshlag uses on non aero track cars. It is fine for now.

Pretty much all MCS S550 packages have been/are true rear coilover. Steeda runs a divorced MCS set up on their #20 car
