And I don't trust the upper mount or the sheet metal
Yea that is a common concern. But I haven’t seen anybody in the track group with Vorshlag or Cortex style shock mounts have an issue. As long as ride height is optimal and there is enough shock travel it should be fine.

The motion rate is 0.77 I believe (@***** can correct me if wrong). So 750*1.77= 1327 which is high but not that high. I will switching to a convertible rear bar from the 350R bar.

The spring rate is the same rate Vorshlag uses on non aero track cars. It is fine for now.

Pretty much all MCS S550 packages have been/are true rear coilover. Steeda runs a divorced MCS set up on their #20 car
you better double check the motion ratio (you’re probably right), but thats pretty critical number.

I want to see a report when you get it all installed. Its not that different from my slo speed (autox) aero setup (650 front 1200 rear), so I bet it will be a blast. If you dont like the convertable rear bar, just keep your R bar. They’re so easy to swap.

To be honest it might take some time to give a solid report. I am registered for my first event of the year March 2nd. I will be using that weekend as a tuning weekend. Also, this is my first set of coilovers and especially with doubles, there is a learning curve. I will still give my review in my build thread if not here. Im sure its going to take at least 2 events to get it dialed in. I am still looking forward to seeing the difference between that set up and what I have now.

I sold the R rear bar already. I hate to be the "everyone else did it so Im going to do it too" type person but smaller rear bar seems to be the way. Most to all who have gone coilovers or even to higher rates(like steeda dual rates) end up going to a smaller rear bar or keeping the stock bar. the most I've seen someone go on a GT is a PP rear bar. Smaller br should help with power down on rear exit but we shall see. The current set up is pretty neutral right now.

Now that I'm thinking about it, if Phoenix Performance happens to be at a local (NJMP) event in March, I'll try and get them to help with tuning if needed.

No excuses! I want the post-drive details!

As far as swaybars go, too bad you sold the R bar, that would have been my choice with those springs. I run about that rate rear bar with my DRs and its about perfect. I’ve tried a lot of swaybar configurations.

strange. What phase of the corner would you say its oversteering? FWIW my car would oversteer more with the lower front spring rate (350# DR fronts) and the konis than it does with better shocks and the 500# or 650# front coilovers. I wonder how much alignment is affecting things too.

Your tires must wear pretty quick.

I'm all about a big front bar, but some guys want to feel the front roll more. It's different strokes for different folks.

corner spring rate * M.R.^2 = wheel rate

750*0.77*0.77= 445 #/in

I think that's supposed to be the rear damper motion ratio, not the rear spring. I believe the rear spring is more like 0.53 or something really low.

750 * 0.53 * 0.53 = 210 #/in

This rate seems in the ball park.

Every time someone wants to stiffen the rear spring, I want them to look at this picture, lol!
