Explanation please.Thumbs up to distorted and incorrect information? Good for you
Danielle (whom I respect on here, just fundamentally disagree with her agreeing that Gibbo was correct) quoted Gibbo. Gibbo said:Explanation please.
This was my response: http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1447495&postcount=29It is just an amplifier of the throttle signal, the pedal max / sprint booster does not change the throttle table or the ECU tune in any way.
All it is doing is changing requested throttle percentage for amount of pedal travel due to it amplifying the signal.
In short pushing the pedal more has the same effect, what the car delivers is still completely down to the ECU as the pedal max is not bypassing the ECU in anyway, if it did then it would actually be very bad for the running of the car.
In short, his first sentence is true. The PedalMAX does NOT change the ECU in any way. However, the way he said it is misleading, since while it does not directly change the throttle tables in the ECU, it does their purpose because of the amplified signal by tricking the tables. It is just an amplifier of the throttle signal, the pedal max / sprint booster does not change the throttle table or the ECU tune in any way.

To be more specific than my first response, I especially take issue with this:
In short, his first sentence is true. The PedalMAX does NOT change the ECU in any way. However, the way he said it is misleading, since while it does not directly change the throttle tables in the ECU, it does their purpose because of the amplified signal by tricking the tables.
He also said "pushing the pedal more has the same effect" which is completely untrue. It does not matter how quickly you press the pedal nor how fast you push it to the desired location, the throttle body will not snap open as quickly as with the PedalMAX. The bottom line is that this is not a performance mod, it is a driveability mod. I think a lot of people get hung up on that.
As simple as can be said, the PedalMAX snaps open the throttle (and in turn you get increased and quicker throttle response) faster than without it. That is the bottom line.
^Uses electronic diagram to show difference using pre-placed LED lights... Must be scientific proof. Also paid by sprint-booster to advertise their product.I am just curious Gibbo205, do you own a pedalmax or a sprintbooster? If not, have you ever driven a completely STOCK 5.0 before installing a pedalmax or other type device, and then again after one is installed?
Here is a quick video that may help...

Sucks being smarter than the sheep, doesn't it? Then of course we have The Boost Max which is another spoofing device that reports back less boost and over boosts to compensate, and hopes the fuel trims can at least bring the fuel tables back into check.OMG who effing cares...the thing works and does what it says it does. Sheesh, does EVERYTHING need a complete scientific breakdown and technical explanation and 15 page debate? The people who bought it love it. Thats all that matters. If you want one, buy one. If you don't like it, send it back or sell it. If you don't want one, don't buy it. If you change your mind, then buy it. If you find that you like it, then keep it. If you find that you don't like it afterall, then send it back or sell it. If you're on the fence, then buy it and see for yourself or don't buy it. Who cares? It doesn't harm anything, it won't blow your engine, it won't cause your car to spontaneously combust, a meteor won't fall from the heavens and crush you for buying one, you won't burn in the pits of Hades for all eternity, it won't take half a second off your ETs, you won't beat a Z06 with one. At best, you'll like it and it'll make your car more fun to drive. At absolute worst, you'll hate it for whatever reason and send it back or sell it. Buy it or don't. Simple as it is. Jesus CHRIST man!!!
