Can a tune be configured to default to Sport/Track/whatever?
My understanding of the modes is that they are independent of the tune. If you get an aftermarket tune you will still have all of your driving modes and they will still act as expected.

I have heard from others that it would be illegal to default to something other than normal mode but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere nor a reason why it would be illegal.

Steering feel is only modified by the settings on the driver display(probably not the right name but the display between your gauges) AFAIK. You can be in track mode and still have it on comfort, sport, or normal steering feel I don't think it changes that.
Steering feel definitely changes when you switch drive modes. This is not to say you can't then change it independently with the steering toggle switch.

Pretty sure there was a thread about this that had some official looking copy. Gist of it was if the vehicle has any sort of stability aids, they must be enabled by default. Might have been a bit more to it than that.

That sounds reasonable. Traction control and stability control are probably mandatory now and because of that they must be enabled by default.

I have asked BAMA numerous times to increase throttle response. That my car felt sluggish picking up speed and the response I got back is that they can't increase the throttle to be more aggressive because it would be unsafe. This is something that you will have to get done with a custom tune, or there is a plug and play device sold by Brothers Performance called a JMS PedalMax Throttle Enhancement Device. I talked to a guy that bought it and he swears by it that the car is a different animal when it comes to throttle response. Really snappy.

It would be awesome if the JMS throttle enhancement device works as it doesn't require a tune...

You drove a 15' GT with and without the module?

I will be ordering soon as well.
The throttle lag has always been my single biggest complaint with the 5.0.
I also had 12' and 14' 5.0's with the same issue.

Well we installed it on my car and I absolutely love the throttle response!!! I am amazed how much it woke it up off the line. It's crazy!! It's a MUST HAVE for all mustangs!!

Awesome, thanks for the feedback!
Was the install difficult or time consuming?

I've tried tunes from the most reputable coyote tuners out there in my last 2 GT's which made a difference but not so much in the throttle response dept. I'm NOT planning on tuning my 15' (because warranty) I'm hoping this module is the ticket!

You and Jimmy, and I guess BmacMI :)

Yep, I'd say normal should be what is used for Snow/Wet - I refuse to drive in that mode due to the terrible throttle response.

OP, I though the sport mode on the base GT's did something to the throttle response. No?
I put mine in Snow/Wet to see what it was like and I thought something was broken. Like zero throttle response.

Not difficult at all. Just unplug the wires from the gas pedal and this goes between your gas pedal and factory wires to it. I guess it just boosts the signal to your throttle body. Does one hell of a job too!! Worth every penny imo.
