I am or you ask your tuner if for some reason that option is locked out but it shouldn’t beSo how exactly are you guys setting the rev limiter? With a tuning device?
So can this be done with an ngauge ?I am or you ask your tuner if for some reason that option is locked out but it shouldn’t be
should be able to unless your tuner can lock that function out, but I’ve never had an nguage so I couldn’t tell you 100%So can this be done with an ngauge ?
The stock limiter is at around 74-7500...so you're not going any higher than what the Ford engineers believe is safe and warrantable for this engine.Just set my rev limiter to 7,400 I won’t be reving the hell out of it but just wanted to know if it’s safe ?
Thanks for the info! Yeah I got it because we guys obviously like to show off our cars once in a while and i got an axle back coming in so I just want to enjoy my car do some revs now and thenThe stock limiter is at around 74-7500...so you're not going any higher than what the Ford engineers believe is safe and warrantable for this engine.
As long as you don't live at 7400 and you don't continuously bang off the rev limiter, you should be fine. High quality synthetic oil changed often and not letting the engine get too hot will help tremendously.
