I have a question regarding install. Ephipany, I need your input on this one.

I have a 4 post lift and am curious if removing/installing driveshaft is ok when the car’s wheels are making contact with the ground. With a 4 post lift, wheel is always carrying the weight of the chassis.

If that is not okay, my 4 post lift has a scissor style, rolling jack that can lift one side of the car. I could jack the rear of the car just enough that the rear wheels are up in the air. The issue with this is that the driveshaft obviously wont be parallel because one part of the car will be up in the air.

My other choice is using the jack stands but thats just too inconvenient for me as I will need to do the install probably outside in 30F degree weather and clearance wise it is going to be difficult.

Yup, you'll be fine doing this mod on a four post.

Thanks so my biggest concern is with the weight of the vehicle on the suspension, removing the driveshaft will result in the differential or the transmission side to move and be out of alignment. But I guess because those components are bolted to the chassis, that should never happen.

Removing the driveshaft, and most likely a portion of the exhaust, has zero impact on how the transmission or differential are affixed. You may want to optimize driveline angles post-install but that's up to you.

UnhandledException, By chance if you are thinking about the MGW shifter in your 350 NOW is the time to get it in there. With driveshaft out of the way & pipes off it is much easier & you do not have to disassemble the OEM shifter into pieces to remove it. Just a thought.

Where's everyone purchasing from? Seem to be a number of options; Steeda, QA1, Summit Racing (actually has them). Is one better pricing than the other somewhere else?

I purchased mine through Late Model Restoration and it was drop shipped from the QA1 shop which is right here in Minnesota. I purchased the certified driveshaft just for peace of mind. Always had great service and response from LMR on some other items I purchased from them so it made sense to purchase from them again. Good luck and you won't regret it. The driveshaft and a MGW shifter are some the best upgrades I have made.

I purchased my QA1 driveshaft through Summit Racing, saved about $350 compared to buying direct from QA1 and delivered for less, got it in 3 days drop shipped from QA1.

I bought mine from LMR and they shipped directly from QA1. Price at the time was the best I could find.
