You can try a 36” fan in front of the car as well.

I think he meant for you to spray water on the radiator.

That's not a bad idea.
I do believe that is what the original poster meant for you to do.

HA. You might be right and i just interpreted it wrong. Either way I think both tests are valid for different reasons. Spraying directly on the radiator will test airflow issues. And running water through the system with a hose will test for flow/blockage. At least that's what makes sense in my head.

It will also test coolant flow. If you flood the radiator with water and it still overheats then the coolant isn't circulating.

EDITED:
I didn’t read all 11 pages - just OP’s initial post and last 2 pages, but even though CHT was changed, it could still be a failed sensor. Meaning, the car really isn’t getting “hot”, but dash is cluster is reading high…

Is there a mechanical Temp gauge on this vehicle that is reading actual coolant temp?

Were the head gaskets installed properly and not so there’s the possibility of a water jacket being blocked??

Yes there is a aftermarket coolant temp gauge on the car. And the CHT sensor has been changed already

I hope you get it figured out. I know how bad chasing a gremlin can be.

Haven't been able to work on it been busy. I will try the water over the radiator test next. Then I'm not sure where to go.

Correct. But he still got some information from doing his test. But I did mean to spray water on the radiator not inside but it looks like he understands now so.

Do you know what temperature the fans are set to turn on at? I would temporarily Hotwire the fans to run all the time. If the fans are tuned to come on at 225 then there’s no mechanical problems so Hotwire the fan or running the fans on a temperature controlled switch set to around the thermostat will fix the issue. The fans should be set to the same temperature as the thermostat. This is why you are supposed to get a tune after installing a cooler thermostat otherwise you will not get any benefit from the thermostat

Alright so i finally got around to spraying the radiator with water to see if the car will still get hot. It stayed pretty cool but i'm not sure it was a worthwhile test because i was only able to test this at idle and the car doesn't overheat at idle anyways.

The best i could do was to get the car hot by holding it at 3k rpm and them spray the radiator and see how fast it cooled down. Which was much faster than with just the fan.

So now i'm not sure what to next. I guess buying two 12 inch fans and install without a shroud and see if that will keep it cool. But i have my doubts.

I will update when i figure something out

I have had this problem come in many times. At what temperature Does your fan come on. Try temporarily Hot wiring the fan to run all the time. If it’s tuned to come on at a higher temperature then you want that can be a issue. Also take a heater hose loose from the engine and push water in through the hose until you push all the air out of the system. You can use the water hose to push any air out as a test. But you don’t want to leave that water in there. You could have air in the system because it’s almost impossible to get it all out without pushing water in or vacuum filling but I think it is airflow

The fan comes on at 160 degrees I believe. I'm certain it is on before 180.

And I have filled the coolant system using both methods without luck. (Vacuum and pushing water through the system)

At this point if new/better fans dont fix it I don't know what will. Cause I have tried literally everything I can think of

Then here’s what you do. Put two of the fans we talked about on it and if that doesn’t fix it run it without a thermostat unit you figure something out
