I have had a few incidents but oddly every single one of them left me wondering "what did I do??" I have found that in my humble opinion/theory that when we do something in our low to the ground sometimes bright colored loud v8 mustangs even a small act seems "aggressive" due to the noise and quickness. I have had people at stop lights go "hey! you think your bad ass!!' "you need to calm down"

no sir/mam i was just passing you. My car makes more noise when I do that. Doesn't mean I am behaving aggressively its just a bit more then you are used to in the sea of crossovers. Trucks i am torn on cause never had a truck do that.

People are armed now-a-days...not worth the risk.
This is such an underrated statement. I can get irritated on the road at times, much like everyone else. It’s calmed down a bit but there was a time not all that long ago where you’d hear on the local news of road rage incidents gone to the extreme where the drivers start shooting at each other. Luckily I haven’t seen that personally but I have seen people basically run someone else off the road at interstate speeds, all because someone cut someone else off, horns honked and middle fingers flew. It’s just not worth it, no matter how bad of a day we might be having and how angry it makes us

There was a road rage shooting in Phoenix just last month. Two idiots pissing each other off, until both idiots got out of their cars and one decided to pull a gun shoot the other who died in the street while his wife and kid were in the car. The shooter was promptly arrested and charged.

This petty crap isn't worth it. People are unpredictable. Check your ego and don't engage with idiots.

I d have to die laughing at a Prius driver with road rage, LOL.
Same here. Most of the time in my area, if I'm being held up by a slower driver, it's a Prius. And I get a front row seat if a "Prius driver with road rage" gets triggered.

I, too, daily a Ram 1500 and I really just want to get to work and get home safely in it. It's mildly lifted with 35's so it's not wild, and I don't have/want all the extra lighting, bars, etc. hanging off it. I've noticed that the Mustang gets less attention on the road, such that I have to drive more defensively with it than in the Ram.

All that said, the road rage I see in my commuting and such is more due to people not paying attention, cutting someone off, or otherwise being a bonehead and then the comedy/tragedy ensues.

Ram truck owners tend to be aggressive. Not all the time or every one, but a great number of them here drive fast, cut people off, "coal" drivers, etc.

Other vehicle owners, cars or trucks, are just naturally aggressive and don't like it when someone passes, regardless of speed or how well done. Most times, I glide past. No sudden movements, acceleration or any of that. And it's often a non-issue. Occasionally though, someone just cannot stand it. They accelerate, move over, brake check, etc. For these drivers, like the ones you encountered, I back off and stay well-behind.

If it gives these people the satisfaction they "won", showed me up, or expressed displeasure at my car, fine. If it prevents an accident, road rage situation or other random act of violence, great.

YMMV.
Because they Got a HEMI in it...........LMAOOOOOOO

Honestly I haven't had really any incidents in my 40 years of driving but the couple times that I accidentally pissed someone off I just pulled over and let them drive away. Like it has been said not worth it. You can have the whole road. As for truck drivers I daily a superduty and little maverick. I'm usually trying to get the best fuel mileage to road rage. It uses to much fuel.

I have experienced this myself and thought a lot about it because 99% of the time it’s unprovoked. I personally boiled it down to this. 1. Truck owners had a decision. Truck or sports car, they couldn’t justify a sports car because the truck is a more practical purchase and validate it by acting like it’s a sports car. 2. They wanted a sports car, but the wife said no we need a truck. So again they need to validate it by driving their truck like a sports car and venting their miserable life’s decisions and taking it out on sports cars. 3. They are just jealous idiot drivers that need to prove something. 4. They always drive that way and it just so happens we cross paths with these idiots. I just avoid them at all costs.

Trucks are always assholes no doubt, I really enjoy waiting for a corner to absolutely destroy them when they are trying to pass me.

But either way everyone is on edge in Cali, must be the high cost of living. Also Tesla drivers are probably the worst here always trying to race me with that silent trash.

Oh and the Damn Tacoma's, hate those trucks. Usually some moron teenager with terrible exhaust. Should be illegal to have exhaust sound as bad as most BMWs and Tacoma's!

Not going to call anybody out, but if you're being passed on the right or being tailgated in left lane while there is space it the right lane, you are in the wrong place on the road. This part of the driving culture is very unfortunately non-existent in North America.

I’ll just leave this here.

I know it’s not all of RAM drivers, but you guys probably know the crowd.

I had to deal with stereotypes all the time when I had a 350Z.
Oops I drive one….. I also saw on Reddit that Ram drivers have the most impaireds. I’m fooked. :)

yes one of my biggest pet peeves. Left lane in cali is not for passing only. But come on! If I am cruising 80 on left lane and someone is coming behind me I switch lanes to let them pass. If everyone followed that it would immensely decrease road rage I would think. Instead we have cars going at or under speed limit in fast lane.

All those damn touch screens aren't helping
Or cell phones. Had some high school kid behind me on my way home from picking up my daughter from school. I was watching him in my mirrors pretty closely as he was insistent on driving right on my a$$. His eyes rarely left his phone both while driving and at stop lights. To the point I turned off and took an alternate way home as I was sure he was going to rear end me at some point on the drive home. I was tempted to yell out the window at him to put the phone down, but especially with my daughter in the car, it wasn’t worth whatever crap he might’ve pulled.
