A year ago, I threw on an AAD catch catch. I had to find my own hose to make it work. Ended up with Mishimoto PCV hose, and up until recently, it has worked well.

Last week I discovered the dip stick had popped out. Looking at the hose from the the valve cover to the catch can, I see the hose is collapsing on itself, and I suspect that is why the dip stick popped out. At one point, someone on here (or potentially TMO), posted that he inserted basically a wire mesh cage inside the hose to reinforce the tube. I can't find that link to save my life now.

Anyone have any leads on what to search for? Worst case, I can just get new hoses, knowing they only last a year. But would like something a little more permanent.

You could also insert a lightweight spring into the hose, as is done with lower radiator hoses on many cars.

You just jogged my memory, that is exactly what I read about. Now to find a spring that fits.

Thanks!

Had to run cpe rubber with steel and nylon braided outer to get past a few months with out the pcv tubing deforming/ being sucked shut. The issue is the heat then tubing size. Most larger than 1/2 can't handle 20 inhg. Heat it to 200 degrees and its even worse. Tried heating and forming my own nylon tubing like stock but that just hurt my ego.

Zero issues since.
