$17.000 for a wing? It can’t be unless it’s made out of gold instead of carbon fiber. If the price is really $17k probably includes the 4 cf wheels with it.

I want the wing for the CFTP that comes on gt500 the one pictured below

You better get out your checkbook......

Again, this is just like the GT350 vs GT350R. Maybe someday they will have an aftermarket wing that is made of fiberglass or something.

Call Anderson Composites, they may be able to tell you when Ford Performance will sell their wing. I dont imagine that the price will be cheap.

To the point, Ford doesnt want you to be able to go out and buy a replacement wing. If you could do that, then why would anyone go out and buy a CFTP?

And honestly, since I'm buying a CFTP, I'm sort of glad that you cant go out and get one for a song. No offense....

No wing is worth $17k. $1700 sure
I like the looks of that wing. But i am not stupid or rich to pay that much for a wing.
Did someone say wing? Your comment made me google this, this whole car cost $5,900 dollar in 1969 about $42,000 today. I agree $17,000 for a wing is insane. However I like how the base GT500 looks better anyway. To me the gt350r is the perfect balance in the wing department.

Tom: I'm working on the image but I thought you would send the photo you'd been using.

I need to pull up the clip in Premiere and grab a frame but it's semi low rez.

Very cool shot, nonetheless.

Just give it time. Someone will make a replica soon enough if the GT4 wing and it won't be anywhere near $17k. They are making 5,000 GT500's a year, which means the after market will be strong. If you own a GT500, you are going to mod it at least a little. Not to mention all the EcoBoost that want to add GT500 parts to there cars.

Of you can buy a GT4 wing for 2k, grab it! Is that a CF wing?

Then comes the mounts. I recall the dog bones were almost impossible to find for the GT350R wings. They were made by mulitmatic and were not available for public consumption.

The OEM "factory" wing isn't made by Anderson as far as I know.
Correct. We are not making the "OE" rear wing for Ford. We will be making out own version of the CFTP wing once our R&D team obtains one. We do know the 350R dog bones and decklid are the same as the 500 with CFTP rear wing.

I like to disassemble things.
I hope to see your version move the wing slightly higher up and into the airstream, ala the genuine GT4 wing. I don't know how familiar you are with it but the dog bones are the same on GT4 cars as the CFTP/GT350R cars, wing is the "same" as CFTP cars, but the supports have a differently shaped base with longer arms that elevate the wing. There is also a greater adjustment range on the GT4 wing than the production CFTP wing.

For 2 grand, you can get a FP350S CF wing with mounts. Is there a difference between that and the GT4?
