Fellas -

Awhile back I had a website open to order a Billet OPG. I accidentally closed it before ordering.

Please direct me to the very best one.

Thank you kindly!

**Ignore above** I found it: http://www.modularmotorsportsracing...in_page=product_info&cPath=80&products_id=269

New Question - how hard is it swapping this thing out? Number of hours?
To swap out the OPG on a voodoo you "MUST" drop the oil pan. The oil pick up is part of the oil pan. It's not bolted on like a 5.0. You either have to lift/pull the engine or drop the K-member. Plan on a whole day or weekend. Depending on your tools and skills.

I would not buy a MMR OPG set. They are made of 9310. TSS or boundary would be my choice. They are made of 4140 which is stronger than 9310.

Thanks Scott! Peace of mind for under $200 and a weekend's worth of labor= no brainer

In all honesty, what is the likelihood that if something were to happen, that the Dealer could deny a warranty claim based on an aftermarket OPG being installed?

I would like to do this as well for peace of mind, but don't want to screw myself out of a claim IF something else were to happen due to me trying to prevent the very situation from the start.

Youd be taking a gamble, Id personal wait until the warranty expired. I dont like having payments on a car thats out of warranty as a rule.

9310 wouldn't be used in the normalized state. Its a case hardening material that should be heat treated after machining to form a tough surface layer, as it would in any gear application. Whether they do that or not, who knows..
I understand that. But it can also be too hard. I'd rather use 4140.
But on the chart I posted they show normal and annealed. That's like comparing a chrome socket to a impact socket. The chrome socket is brittle.

I agree that there is such a thing as a material that is too hard.

FYI to others: the elongation numbers in the table give you a comparison of how much the two materials will stretch prior to fracturing.
