Hey guys. Looking for some advice from the pros. So over the past few days i have been installing boundary opg's with the new housing, innovators west harmonic balancer and crank support bracket. Upon first start up, oil pressure was normal and no DTC's However i did hear a slight tapping that quickly went away which i attributed to timing chain slack or phasers. Car idled fine and allowed it to get up to operating temperature. Took a spin around the neighborhood and car drove normal as always. Turned on the main road and started to make a small pull. Eased into throttle and around 3krpm oil pressure soared to around 85psi. and car shut down. I was able to restart the car and limp home. Now the exhaust is popping on upshift and feeling really strange. Also lost rev match. Still no DTC's. Anybody have any idea what the problem may be?

I am fairly confident it is not a timing issue as its not throwing any codes. Also changed up from 5w20 to 5w50 so wondering if that has something to do with it.

Adding this in for future reference:
Here’s some threads that contain factual OPG info, take time to read them, because not all OPGs are the same and yes there have been reported failures with some aftermarket OPG.

If you’re going to attemp OPG/timing yourself, or get a shop to do it, here’s important notes so check the below threads before jumping in without knowledge:
