Nanoparticles are a game changer. Castrol “Titanium Fluid Strength” isn’t just a catch phrase. Think titanium dioxide…. Not Grade 5 material.

You sound like you work at a tire store " Mam your kinutite valve is about to explode and kill you, we can fix it today for $499"

Joking, Oil is getting crazy these days with long good it holds up.

They do make a "Power" lineup as well that is Ester based. More affordable than the 300V, but more expensive than the X-cess lineup

I'm not familiar, I'll have to check into them. 300V has the best HTHS of anyone I've seen with their 15w-50, which is weird because their KV at 100C is less than redline 5W-50 and their KV at 40C is a little better than Redline or Motorcraft and right in line with Amsoil SS 5w-50.

You'd expect at 15w-50 to be problematic at lower temps, but it's about the same or better than most 5w-50's on the market (at 40C) and not as good as the others at 100C, but has the higher HTHS.

Motul 15w-50 weirdly is as thin or thinner at 40C, a little thinner at 100C and thicker at 150C than the usual high grade 5w-50s on the market. I suspect they have more group 5s than any of the others, which also explains why the price is so high.

M1 may be good oil but in every engine I've run it in got noisier.

Downright scares me in the twin cam.

Note that the final two digits denote max weight under extreme heat and stress. 20 is very light would not use it except for economy car like my sister's 2012 hybrid hatchback where it is spec and used in winter.

I would use Pennzoil 5-W40 or 50 euro synthetic like above poster mentioned.

The motorcraft 5w50 shear-thins awfully, does not meet acea a3/b4, and the base oil can barely be called synthetic. It’ll do but there are better options.
Shoot, I just bought 8 quarts of this stuff based on Whipple’s (installation manual) recommendation.

No I don't know what brand you have or which one I am talking about but mines better :)
You must be running the same oil as I do! Brondo, with electrolytes.
