Interesting. I agree with UofM. Check your versions. I also used a high speed USB 3 stick and my first reboot occurred at approximately the 30 minute mark. I’ve never had a map update take only 30 minutes.
"First reboot"? How many reboots for the map install? Maybe this is where I goofed up and had a short install.

See a Step 6 on the instruction sheet. There are two automatic restarts during the process since it runs in 3 chunks. If you pull the stick during one of those auto restarts by mistake, then install isn’t compete and you’re missing some map data and nav voice data.

No wonder my install was so fast. I must have a different set of instructions as my Step 6 says "locate the files in your Downloads directory on your computer".

I now see there are two sets of instructions. One for building the USB and another for installation. thanks!

Yep, you're not alone. Lot of folks are missing this one. I've had some diagnostic recordings come in already where it's missing the voice pack and folks are trying to use nav VR. :(

Ya know, I have no excuse. I have an Electrical Engineering degree and I have done IT work for the past 38 years, but I just don't read the instructions... My bad.

My VIN still shows 3.3 (3.3.19052) as the most recent... NA-2019 car. Are you all downloading directly from ford?

Thanks

Those are the correct nav and voice nav files. Same as mine

Yeah, my install ended in an error, and even though my nav appears to be fully functional, I'm clearly missing a file (and it was present on the flash drive):

I'll give it another shot :)

Kinda disappointed that we still can't install our own backgrounds like we could with Stync 2.
And only 4 pre-defined backgrounds... really Ford!?

I’m with you. I thought we were going to get this with 3.2, then 3.3. Now we are at 3.4. Maybe with Sync 4?
