Im tired of the lack of traction of my mickey thompson street comps that I have on my 2018 GT. Even at 50mph, I still struggle to get traction. The sizes Im using right now are 305/35R20 for the rear and 255/35R20 for the front. I pretty much want the same size as those for the new tires. I heard good things about both of these line ups. Which one would be the better choice?

if the indy 500 comes in those sizes i'd get that. I don't think the 555 g2 is that great of a tire. Especially since it's more expensive than the indy 500, which IS a good tire.

This. The Indy will put the power down.

If you're going to be supercharged I'd find a way to get their 325/30 tire. I wouldn't want any less than a 315 with a PD blower.

Both are amazing options, however

The Indy 500 305 is Backorder No ETA until June

Nitto are great for the price and what they provide and I do recommend both

Yeah lol, I noticed today that nobody has them. I might just cough up the extra money and get the michelin pilot super sports.

New question.. I have 20" amr rims that are 10" wide. The Michelin Pilot Super Sports recommend from 10.5"-11.5" for the 305/30. American muscle says you can use the 285 or the 305 but the 305 selection isn't actually there to click on. Do I have to downgrade to 285/35 instead?

From American muscle:

(2) AMR Black Wheels - 20x8.5
(2) AMR Black Wheels - 20x10
(2) Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires - 255/35R20
(2) Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires - 285/35R20 or 305/30R20
Staggered Wheel and Tire Setup
Professional Mounting & Balancing
Free Optional Nitrogen Fill
Fits 2015-2018 Mustang Models
Road Hazard Protection Plan Available

I would go with the 285 for a 10". 305 on that wheel will have a good amount of bulge.

I have 275 Indy 500's on some 20's on the rear of my car. Granted it's an Ecoboost but I've found the traction and drivability of the tire to be really good. I'm actually torn between putting some up front on my car or if I'm going to breakdown and finally give some Michelin Pilot Sport 4s a try.

anyone weigh in on longevity of the two? if nitto is a bit worse performance wise but lasts a lot longer that'd be a factor for me.

I logged 24k miles in 13 months of ownership and was unemployed during 2 of that with minimal driving so id like a tire that will last

I run Nitto G2's(305/30/20 and 285/30/20) for my street setup and when I was full exhaust, intake, and tuned on E85 they were great. As long as it was warm out I could get traction in 1st gear.

I used the Indy 500 tires and they are AMAZING. I had them for over 10 months... I just got new wheels which came with the Nitto NT555 G2. I have yet to test the NT555 G2. I have to wait 500 miles before I can start doing real things with them. I can tell you though that the Indy 500 keeps the power on the ground and they perform phenomenal. I'll update this thread once I am able to really test out the Nittos. So far they are great as well.
