I will respectfully disagree. Most of the other groups I'm in for other types of vehicles are not what a majority of this community is. The ONLY page/forum etc that I would recommend is one facebook called LET'S BREAK SOME ECOBOOSTS. Tightly ran, intelligent folks in there that have actually...
There's nothing to discuss. Nobody is doing anything special or innovative for these cars. Frankly it's one of the worst car communities I've ever been apart of. Pretty much why I stopped interacting on the forums here and on the facebook groups.
Throw bolt-ons and 100 octane with meth on a stock turbo you'll trap 117 easy. This turbo should be doing beyond that with ease on 100 octane and meth injection.
That honestly is very underwhelming to read. You can run those same numbers stock turbo and same fuel/meth combo with ease. Those turbos should be going into the 120mph range with ease.
Maybe I just got one of the bad ones. But I know for my 2018 I will not be considering mbrp. Granted at this point I probably am only going to do an axle back instead of a full cat-back this time around.
Go with Adam and Tune+. They offer anything from a simple shortblock all the way up to a full race spec motor. And all the motors are the 2.0 block so you don't have to worry about them cracking like a 2.3 block does.
The drone isn't really that bad. Only issue is that it is complete shit quality wise. And fitment was not very good either. Even after making MANY adjustments it never fit right. Which kinda sucks because it does sound good. But I would never recommend it to anyone.
Just traded out of my 16 stang up to an 18. I do not plan on going with heavy ass 20inch wheels this time around. So I would like recommendations on some of the lightest 18 and 19inch wheels on the market. If you have pics of them on a car also share them. For reference my car is ingot silver.
Given that I just got rid of my 16 eb and am now in a 2018 EB. I can still say that shifting past 6000rpm is utterly pointless. Just too small a turbo to go that high.
I know my track app before I swapped wheels and tires was actually fairly accurate especially on MPH. On the street stock I could get about a 5.6 0-60 and run about 13.9 at 100mph. Went to the track and ran 13.64 at 100mph stock. Then after I got it tuned by Adam at Tune+ the track app showed me...
Shift points will stay the same. Really shift no higher than 6000rpm. The stock turbo is already running out of steam before you get up to that rpm, but you can really feel after about 5000 really start falling off. shifting at 5600-6000 puts the car back in it's sweet spot. Hope that helps.
A dealer can tell you whatever. In the end no matter the mod they have to actually prove it was the cause of the failure. Even a tune. I remember a guy on here who was able to get his motor replaced and he was on an e30 tune when it blew. And it was because he went in (very professionally) of...
Very valid points here. Main one I disagree with is you can utlize a 460hp car fine without going to a track. Just may not be legal. That aside I agree with most everything else. I don't know if v8's will disappear all together, I think companies will start doing like the euro car makers and...
