To the OP, you never mentioned, well maybe I missed it, what sizes you went with as far as wheels and tires.

I saw that, but they have are 26.7", the 305/35/19 is 27.4". Very close to the PP1 specs. Not to mention there are other brands in that sizing that I would have chosen over the Firehawk from past experience with them. You can get Mich, Conti's in that size and they are quite a bit lighter. The Contis weigh 30lbs while the Firehawk weighs 33lbs and it is within $50 each I believe.

I would love to run a 325, but you need a 11.5" wheel to support it properly. I am running 11's out back. I like the look of a 305/35 tire out back, just makes it look fat with that little extra sidewall.

You can get the new Contis with a 285/35/19 but no 305/35/19 for my rears. Not to many manufacturers make that size. So its Michelin for me...the NittoG2's weren't even a consideration. BTW, I don't hate Nitto tire, they make a pretty good track tire. Just for the street you got the Invo and the G2s, both are just inferior to the Mich and Contis.
The tires you mention are lighter because they use a newer process. The firehawk is a classic steel belted radial which adds a few pounds but in theory is more durable with pothole strikes and such.

At the end of the day the Firestones are just good for the money, if you're willing to bump up to that $300 a tire mark (at least with these big Boi sizes), there are better options.

The lack of options in 305/35/19 for a 19x11 rear wheel is what’s holding me back from new wheels. Sometimes I feel like I’m better off keeping the PP1 wheels and being able to have the Michelins.

For 19x10 squared, plenty of good options in 285/35/19.

There is also the Continental Extreme Contact Force. Available in 295/30/19, 315/30/19, 325/30/19, and 345/30/19. And other sissy sizes as well

Definitely not the Nittos. I got a combo from LMR as well and the Nittos are terrible. Can't wait to wear them out and get some conti extreme contacts.
I once bought Nitto 555 when they first came out in the late eighties for use on my RX-7. Scary tire when wet. Never again. Once was enough.

I run Mich PS4S 285/35/19 front and Mich PSS 305/35/19. They are perfect.

I was always wondering about that combination. Thanks for the feedback!

Indy's aren't the best at anything, but they're a hell of a good bang for the buck.

Heck yeah, light em up! I’m a big Continental fan but both are excellent.
Had to do a little one to test it out lol....

Indy 500s are light-years better than the G2s and a great tire for the price. I've tried mp4s, nitto r2 & g2s and the indys. All I run now are the indys on my street tires and r2s on my drag wheels.
