  1. Made my own push start/ignition kill switch

Another reason I went this route is because I have a viper alarm. This way, they wouldn't be able to put my viper alarm in valet mode to disable it. I got the idea from the igla security system which is like $1200 and also hard to find someone close by to install that module.
  2. Made my own push start/ignition kill switch

It's easy to steal these newer push start cars so I decided to make my own push start kill switch. So even if someone makes a copy of the key or they have a tool to trick the car into thinking the key is inside, they still wont be able to turn the car on and drive off with it. Just with a couple...
  3. Push start wire?

I have a 2018 Ford mustang gt and I'm trying to find the power wire that goes to the push start button. I already have the harness out but I don't know which wire it is. The harness has a lot of wires and I could try to use a probe on each wire, but the push start button would have to be plugged...
  4. Mustang making loud tic noises coming near the top.

I had someone rev the engine for me and found out the noise comes not just from the driver side head, but the passenger side one too. I didn't disconnect the solenoid but I did put my hand around it and I can feel the noise coming out of it, same on the other side too. The noise isn't in sync...
  5. Mustang making loud tic noises coming near the top.

I've had 5w30 since I've gotten the car. I have the typewriter tic as well and that noise wasn't it. It comes from a completely different area. The dealership swapping the vct solenoid completely got rid of that noise from my video.
  6. Mustang making loud tic noises coming near the top.

They ended up warranting it out for me. The lady is new to her job and didn't know the engine is covered under the powertrain warranty. Glad that it's settled. What noise did yours make? Because mine makes a chain rattle noise every time you rev up and let go of the peddle. Did swapping the...
  7. Mustang making loud tic noises coming near the top.

So I took it into the dealership and the issue was a bad vct solenoid like mentioned above. Now they're telling me its not covered under the powertrain warranty. I'm still under the 5 years and the car only has 19k miles on it. Why would it not be under the powertrain warranty?
  8. Mustang making loud tic noises coming near the top.

I have a 2018 mustang gt and I've had the annoying engine tic noises and the 2k engine rattle for over 4 years now. But this new tic noise seems to be different. This noise seems to be coming from the top and its very loud. Also it isn't fast like the traditional engine tic everyone else is...
  9. Radio Upgrade

Works really well so far. Has apple car play and android auto. Its pretty customizable if you use nova. You can change the boot up animation as well. No issues with it so far.
  10. Forscan help with digital dash and an aftermarket radio codes

I've converted to a digital dash and put an aftermarket radio sometime back. Everything works correctly but I've always had these codes ever since then. I wanted to try to get rid of them. Wondering if anyone knew which blocks I should modify on forscan to disable them? Also my 2018 mustang gt...
  11. Radio Upgrade

I have a linkswell screen and I love it. Has android auto and carplay which I wanted. Looks really good as well. It even boosted up the backup camera image.
  12. AC Radiator Fan Turning and Off very frequently

I actually just figured out the issue. I previously removed a couple of relays to check them for a previous issue I had and when I placed them back, I accidently crossed two different style relays. I just flipped them back to the correct spots and that fixed the issue.
  13. AC Radiator Fan Turning and Off very frequently

I have a 2018 mustang gt and just recently every time I turn on the ac, the driver side fan on the radiator turns on for 5 seconds at 100% speed then turns off for around 15 seconds. It'll continue to repeat that pattern over and over again. The passenger side fan on the radiator stays on at low...
  14. 2018 Mustang 5.0 ABS draining battery?

I did before making this thread. Can't find any information on it on youtube or on google
  15. 2018 Mustang 5.0 ABS draining battery?

So I've noticed my battery draining a bit. I decided to start pulling fuses to see what's causing the drain and once I pull fuse #62, the drain goes away and my voltage starts rising up again. Fuse 62 is described as "Anti-lock brakes run-start switch" which is for the traction control. I doubt...
  16. Battery monitoring disable

I'm trying to disable the battery monitoring system in my 2018 mustang gt. Forscan gives you an option to disable it but i don't think it actually disables it. Maybe I have to change a few numbers/letters around to actually disable it through forscan. Does anyone know?
  17. 2018 Mustang GT noise?

I didn't really check to confirm if it was gone after getting it back but I didn't hear it on the way back. After making it home, I popped the hood to check and the sound was there. So my guess the sound never went away as the drive was only a few miles. Also here's a new video of the other...
  18. 2018 Mustang GT noise?

Got my car back today. They couldn't hear the noise that's in the video I took but they did replace a few things for me for the 2k rattle. They also noticed a small coolant leak coming from the water pump so they replaced that along with the gasket. Edit: Not even a whole day and the 2k...
