I got the classic muscle car phase taken care of and will never get another. Nice to look at but trailering to shows gets old quickly. Local shows are nice but long cruises are never without issues. The to-do lists never end.
To get gas and go anywhere is what turns my gears.
Best of luck. To each their own.

When I am done with my 2 seater and it's time to get a "practical" car, I will probably shoot for a BMW M3 Competition XDrive.

The Mustang is a keeper for me. I got just what I wanted and it's paid for. My next vehicle will most likely be a Ranger or Colorado, crew cab, non 4 wheel drive. I don't tow, and it don't show here, more or less a beach bomb for hauling our beach junk for jaunts to Coquina Beach. Also for hauling small loads you can't in a SUV.

On a comparable price point within $10,000 of a new mustang in order:
1. B9 S4
2. F87 M2
3. Audi SQ5

getting further out of the comparable price point:
1: Tesla model S (plaid if affordable)
2. Porsche 911 at reasonable price point
3. C8 Z06

It's funny because I've been finding myself looking at '69 and '70 mustangs on FB marketplace. My son an I actually went to a Ferrari dealership too after I accidentally befriended the GM of our local F dealership

I'm currently digging the '24 M4 Competition car. I like the '24 M2 as well, but not as much as the M4 Comp.

That, and the tax write offs lol
I don't know. Each kid costs 300,000 easy. Did you get anywhere remotely that in credits? Oh, there are other considerations? Intangible even?

Austin Martin db5 Goldfinger Continuation Edition. 3 mil quid or thereabouts?

Not even remotely close. If people really took the time to add up how much kids cost over time, nobody would have them 🤣

Of course... I was being facetious about the tax credits. It's a completely horrible financial decision to have kids, much like buying a car generally is also lol.

With this thread being resurrected, I checked my earlier post and saw that I planned to keep the Toyota. Well plans change and I traded for a 2021 Camaro. I like small, light cars, but I'm enjoying the Camaro a lot more than the Toyota as a daily. I love the dual mode exhaust, it's optioned with the Bose stereo and the suspension is firm the way I prefer. It's a lot more fun driving around in a V8 car vs. the flat 4. Yes, visibility isn't as good, but it doesn't bother me at all.

For a future vehicle, I'm still leaning toward something along the lines of a kit car. I realize insurance and crashworthiness could be issues. It would probably be nice days / track only.
