5.5L DOHC FPC 8600RPM Redline featuring 670 Horsepower.. Kinda nutty.

Car is pretty ugly, not sure why they went where they did on the style.
The base C8 already had a waitlist, this one would probably be longer. I truly like what they did with the styling, the wider / bigger wheels help with the body lines IMO.

As a lover of all things car. Just watched the reveal and WOW. It’s going to be a force to deal with. 670 hp 5.5l NA v8 with a 8600 redline. I’m actually impressed with the power curve that thing produces for being a flat plane crank and that peak torque is 6100. Really thought it would be in the high 6’s to low 7’s spinning that high.

It’s going to be a nutty car and going to punch way above its weight class. Freaking crazy that pulled that much out of that engine.

True that. Super excited to see how this car does. If they're smart, they built it to be tuner and boost-friendly for the aftermarket since there won't be a lot left on the table for the normies.

I'm happy they went with the tried and true FPC firing order instead of the Ford one - far more benefits to it.

The car is beautiful and I think it sound much more like a supercar (as it should) than the GT350. It's on another level. GT500 power with 5.5 liters and no supercharger. I want one!

The list has been full for a while now, the car is OR will quickly hit a 2yr wait IMO.. Besides the usual list, I was told Chevrolet was only allowing specific people on the list. You had to be designated a a Corvette buyer (no first timers) and for a chance at a Z06, ZR1, or the electric one you had to meet some requirements. To top it all off, you could only pick one list to wait on.

Wider is better, just not a fan of the direction on the front bumper and those side scoops. To be specific the separation on the front at the top with the gloss black and the extended gloss black section that swoops back on the side scoops.

I watched it too. That's going to be a hell of a machine.

I wonder if this engine will vibrate its oil filter loose as well 🤣

Love this car! It sounds amazing, sounds like it wants to rev, sounds truly exotic. Chevy did this engine right. 670 from a 5.5 liter is crazy.

I wasn't a fan of the exterior on the silver car they released previously but the Z07 package really helps.

Someone with deeper pockets than myself please buy one and take it to the track! I want to see/hear this thing where it's meant to be

Not entirely true. I spoke to a coworker two days ago who is on the waitlist for a Z06 and is a first time buyer. WRT sound, personally love the fact it has the characteristic flat crank sound. I’d have been even more pleased with my Shelby if it had that sound. Just proves not everyone can be satisfied.
