JMHO. Only applies to me.

If Roush didn't do the build (that is, if it isn't a factory Roush Mustang, so to speak) I would be super wary. That would mean someone else with unknown skill set and quality control wrenched on the single most complex, expensive piece of the entire car. I drove one modded Mustang before I got my 2015, and walked away from it.

No Mustangs rolled off the Ford line supercharged in 2015. It would have been sent to Roush for modifications. Then (and ONLY then) would Ford warranty the car. If done outside that path, any warranty the car had back then went out the window. I know that doesn't matter now, but it speaks to the possible history of the car.

Again JMHO.

Personally, I would steer clear of it. If for nothing else, I'd bet that the last owner beat the shit out of that thing for the year they owned it. Probably could be found in a StreetScienceTX Youtube video somewhere.

As other mentioned, the subwoofer is also a clue.

It's clearly not a Roush car. It's a GT with the Roush supercharger kit.

It very well could have been installed at dealer, and if so you get the same 'Roush' warranty.

Either way, the car is 10 years old and has 55k miles on it so that doesn't matter.

Installing a supercharger kit is not rocket science. Plenty of people install them theirselves in their own garage over the weekend.

What does it cost? Depends on what you want to do with the car or what you're expecting.

The problem is they aren't exactly amazing performers from the factory as they 'only' have 500hp (you can upgrade them, of course). A stock 2018+ GT with the A10 will beat it. The 5.4 is expensive to rebuild/replace. They don't have factory widebands.

Which between the 2 is a better buy in your opinion? Side note the dealer got back to me about the GT, it does include the tuning dongle as well. Someone mentioned make sure it came with that earlier.

Couldn't the same be said about your "race" exhaust if someone were to find yours online for sale somewhere used, just thinking out loud here.

I would go with the original car assuming everything checks out.

Dude you sound like my ex wife. Asking people for their opinions to ultimately do what you were going to do anyway.

Sorry this didn't end up being the echo chamber you hoped for.

Go buy the car, enjoy it, and maybe we'll help you down the road troubleshooting issues with it. Or maybe it'll work out.

i recommend a big step back and re-evaluation.

you come to a mustang forum filled with people bristling with opinions because #Internet and #CarForum.

you ask a question about a poorly described car which means you don't know enough to make this judgment on your own and you're too dumb to realize your ability to articulate important details might be a hindrance to the endeavor thus far set upon.

you then proceed to complain, whine, make excuses, and just kind of be a bitch about the whole thing.

the ex wife comment was spot on. you're the spitting image.

For a little more than 30k you can buy an unmolested Gen3 with low(er) miles. Hell i've seen brand new GTs marked down to 37k (yes I know the s650 is fugly). Then you can drive the car a while and decide if you want to supercharge it, do it yourself so you know what's actually being done to the car. Just my opinion. 30k for a 10 year old GT with FI is crazy.
