It's clearly not a Roush car. It's a GT with the Roush supercharger kit.If Roush didn't do the build (that is, if it isn't a factory Roush Mustang, so to speak) I would be super wary. That would mean someone else with unknown skill set and quality control wrenched on the single most complex, expensive piece of the entire car. I drove one modded Mustang before I got my 2015, and walked away from it.
No Mustangs rolled off the Ford line supercharged in 2015. It would have been sent to Roush for modifications. Then (and ONLY then) would Ford warranty the car. If done outside that path, any warranty the car had back then went out the window. I know that doesn't matter now, but it speaks to the possible history of the car.
What does it cost? Depends on what you want to do with the car or what you're expecting.Ok on my continued search what is everyones idea of a 2009 Shelby GT500 in pristine condition with just a CAI and full exhaust?
Which between the 2 is a better buy in your opinion? Side note the dealer got back to me about the GT, it does include the tuning dongle as well. Someone mentioned make sure it came with that earlier. What does it cost? Depends on what you want to do with the car or what you're expecting.
The problem is they aren't exactly amazing performers from the factory as they 'only' have 500hp (you can upgrade them, of course). The 5.4 is expensive to rebuild/replace. They don't have factory widebands.
Couldn't the same be said about your "race" exhaust if someone were to find yours online for sale somewhere used, just thinking out loud here.Personally, I would steer clear of it. If for nothing else, I'd bet that the last owner beat the shit out of that thing for the year they owned it. Probably could be found in a StreetScienceTX Youtube video somewhere.
As other mentioned, the subwoofer is also a clue.
I would go with the original car assuming everything checks out.Which between the 2 is a better buy in your opinion? Side note the dealer got back to me about the GT, it does include the tuning dongle as well. Someone mentioned make sure it came with that earlier.
Dude you sound like my ex wife. Asking people for their opinions to ultimately do what you were going to do anyway.Couldn't the same be said about your "race" exhaust if someone were to find yours online for sale somewhere used, just thinking out loud here.
i recommend a big step back and re-evaluation.Couldn't the same be said about your "race" exhaust if someone were to find yours online for sale somewhere used, just thinking out loud here.
