My bad. Missed the usd$ part.

So more money to spend, which is good thing!!

Definitely wheels and tires! Upgrading my tires was my favorite “mod” on my car! Once it grips, it just sticks to the road! I love doing pulls and driving on twisty roads so grippy tires is a must!
I have a JLT 120mm intake, headers, exhaust and a tune. The car is so much fun! Go for LTH but expect your car to be pretty loud! Especially cold starts.

Is your budget for parts only or does it include labor too? Suspension components are very important when it comes to getting the power down. You said you’ll visit the track several times a year, so I’d get the back end squared away.

Ya so as of right now I’m thinking I’ll do the FP track suspension kit with new wheels/tires. While I have the diff out to do 4.09’s I will add the steeda stop the hop kit and maybe some diff bushings etc.
@NGOT8R I’m fortunate in the labour regard to be mechanically inclined so my brother and I will be doing the wrenching in his new shop with lift. I should say we are doing all but the 4.09’s. I’m taking diff to local Ford dealer to have them do that install.

The suspension pieces all go in like legos.

There's always the cosmetic approach options for looks if you like. Interior trim, engine dress up, exterior items, etc. All are very reasonable too.
Yep - my vote.
Something you can see every time you use it. More rewards there, more often.
Better tires once you wearout the old ones. you can always accelerate their demise :)

Bilsteins on the rear of my V6 made a worthwhile change getting rid of rear end wiggle.
my GT has perf pack, so there isnt much for me to do on upgrades.

Then maybe a dyno tune.

Can’t even get 93 octane in New Brunswick😢
Now that IS sad. 😢 I am thankful we have Petro94 in Ontario. Closest to E85 we will ever get.

Always start with suspension and brakes. The go fast stuff is not worth it unless the car can handle the power. I would also use part of the money for a driver mod and take a class or two. I did that in the past and learned so much. Regardless, I always make sure the car can handle the power before I give it to her.

PSST, I know plenty of guys from the 70's that didn't concern themselves with stopping LOL for example...

Hey all, so for this upcoming season I have roughly $3000 usd to throw at mods on my 2019 GT base manual. Car has extended warranty until this fall but I'm modding it anyway. Car currently has a K&N drop in filter, x-pipe and MBRP muffler delete axle back. I have already purchased Ford Performance 4.09 ring and pinion and install kit that will be installed outside of the $3k I still have to spend. I keep going back and forth between installing a handling package and new rims/tires or doing LTH, CAI and tune.

What are everyone's thoughts here? I'm honestly wanting the extra power but I've never been very impressed with the base GT suspension and how loose it is.

Thanks everyone!

Dusty
Steeda stop the hop kit is a must. And a good coilover kit. Get the power to the ground.

A new CAI is a waste of money. With that amount, I would go with fatter Wheels and tires and a tune, then the stop the hop pieces of you have any left.
This is absolutely true! I see lots of discussions about CAI for the S550. What baffles me is that non-PP stock coyotes come with a darned good CAI right from the factory, don't they? The inlet air is drawn from outside the engine compartment, behind the grille and zero hot engine bay air ever reaches the engine. I do like the looks of an open conical filter, but I'll spend my $500 on something else. I removed the carbon filter and dropped in a K&N - maybe I'll pick up a little bit of power, better throttle response and a bit better fuel mileage (time will tell) but I know that I'll never have to throw away another disposable paper filter again!

:)
