Well if you do get the GT350 intake you should get the gears because the benefit of GT350 intake is extra flow at higher rpm.
Sounds like that's a little more than I want to spend then. $1000 for the Manifold, $200 for the tune, $300+ for the gears, and installation. :(

Stainless Power offers long tube headers that I believe will fit your budget. They are made by Stainless Works, but are made overseas.

I know many members have them and haven't had any issues.
