good fn job man that looks amazing. very good attention to detail, and the data logging is just an example of how much of a bad ass you are.

good work. I would of been honored to give you a high five
Haha thank you for the kind words!:D

I think both can be attractive in a way. Option one shows that it's your own work and only you have it. Option two is more if you're planning to open the hood at car shows and will look "cleaner"

Both are good though :)

I'd pick option 2. When I did my '03, I went with painting it to match the body, but then, it was white PVC tubing, so I didn't have the options you do.

Update

So quick update here. It was yet another crappy weekend in terms of weather here in Maryland so not much got done on the intake. I polished the intake tube and I think I will just be leaving it polished for the time being. I also made the filter bracket. That just needs to be tig welded and the intake can finally be installed! Maybe (hopefully) this weekend that will happen.

Update

So a snow day in Maryland (to which it has JUST started snowing for me...) means updates! Got the bracket welded... Never again with aluminum... I am not even sure the weld is good so we shall see if it holds. Might just buy a stainless steel 45 degree in the future to replace it. But this is what the intake looks like all finished! Hoping to install it this weekend.

I did! There are a few things I still need to work out (fitment issues with filter) but I got it on for some sound clips. I also plan to leave it installed for a few days to get some driving impressions and such. My aluminum tig welding did not work so I have a stainless steel 45 on the way to replace the aluminum 45.

Sound Clip!

Thanks guys!

So I decided to do another 0-60.... Looks like my 5.5 is back :D Best 0-30 time to date as well! This was even with TC off which had a lot of wheel spin/hop. Will do another soon with TC to see if there is any difference in time.
