The "whole car" turns off? Lights and all? Or just the engine dies?
If it's just the engine I'd be thinking safety interlock on the shifter.
But you really don't give enough information for more than a WAG...

No just the engine dies like when im driving like 60mph and trynna stop instead of downshifting i put it in neutral when i put in neutral the rpm drop under 1k rpm and the the car turns off

When is the last time you’ve cleaned your MAF sensor? A dirty or bad MAF sensor can cause stalling. Try picking up a can of MAF cleaner and cleaning the sensor to see if that takes care of the stalling issue.

Why would you put the car in neutral while driving? 🧐

Folks with a manual, slowing down to a stop light, sitting a stop light.
I have a manual and never slow down in neutral, always back up the gears to the point of stopping, stop light is different though, maybe I read it wrong but it was neutral while on the move to me. Odd problem none the less.
I’m quite upset that you think I’d have an auto :cwl::giggle:

Hahah! #SaveTheManuals

Love my manual. I'm always brake before clutch when stopping. In neutral at 60mph is not ideal on my option. However, it doesn't explain shut off.
