Kent, don't feel sorry for the snow backs, they knew what they were getting into. Us summer sufferers did not get any love either.

BTW, 74 deg. and sunny today with just a hint of a breeze. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

It just gets weirder all the time. FordPass deleted the Field Service Notice for the camera on my car, but the NHTSA site still lists it.

so I take it there is still currently no supply of parts?
The parts are in limited supply due to the volume of cars affected. My bracket took a few weeks to arrive.

My guess is, most of us will be tail end Charlies for the bracket, what with the '500 recall coming out a good bit later than the regular Mustangs.

Mine should be a XMas miracle.

Well congratulations, El Jefe, I guess that makes you the foyst.

Didn'tt realize the steel pedal is part of the assembly. I thought that was re-usable, obviously snot.

That's a major bummer as now I'll have to RE-DRILL that friggin' pedal for the Shelby plate. But, on the upside, I did get myself a way cool pneumatic angle drill so this time it'll be a POC...sorta, if my back will hold out. <laughing>

Yep Tom is the first. Mine is at my dealers but I don’t get back in town until tomorrow. Guess I know what I’ll be doing this weekend.

I like to disassemble things.
Interesting theat Ford felt the need to place a sticker over the existing number that shows the exact same thing. Maybe they did it to make it easier to identify?

That was exactly my first thought. I think there had to be a discernable difference between the old and new part. Here is a twist on it, what is stopping some enterprising individual from taking the sticker off the new part, putting it on the old part, and putting it back into the box and selling it on the dark web? That would be quite the scumbag thing to do, but I have seen worse.

Fun fact, OASIS shows the recall before the Ford Recalls And Field Service Actions website or the Recalls NHTSA website. My car doesn't show up on either website.

My car now shows up on OASIS. The waiting for the part begins.

Make sure you contact the dealer and have them check OASIS for the recall.

I would call the dealer and see if your car has the recall and if it does, I would take it in and have them run the OASIS report while your car is there. This should allow them to order the parts.

Part orders can be requested through the Special Service Support Center (SSSC) using the SSSC link at the bottom of the OASIS VIN report screen to repair vehicles that meet the following criteria only:
  • Affected customer vehicles that arrive at your dealership.
  • New in-stock vehicles with a signed sales contract.
