Making a Smaller Passive Key Fob

Hmm. I was looking at this the other day thinking about the possibility of injection molding a new button side of the FOB and filling in the buttons I don't want (mainly just the trunk button). Keeps the running pony on the back

Could you have holes above the buttons so if you had to, you could use a pen tip or whatever? Or, are you having to remove the buttons entirely?

I don't think you would want the inside to be so easily exposed to water, dirt, etc.

I simply shaved the inner peg on the trunk button... solved my issue.

I've been really busy work gets a bit hectic near the holidays for one of our clients haven't had as much free time at the office to work on this. Hoping I can get back to this, as I have an auto remote now from a member here that I'll be messing with. I know there is a demand for these and I'm working to that end to get these out.

Has anyone got any updated information to share regarding these smaller key fobs? I’m interested in buying a spare fob to disassemble and turn into a credit card sized “smart passive key” that will fit in a wallet.

Seems like it would make a good winter project
