I highly recommend rolling up a small bath towel and sticking it in the crevasse of the seat and then use the backjoy thing mentioned at the top of this page. It sucks you have to do that, but it's the best option I've found. This isn't just a mustang issue, I've had the same feeling in the jag...
Another defense for using USB music is that when you get into your car you don't have to physically plug anything in or sync up anything. Unless you leave bluetooth always on your phone, draining your battery.
I have a 2016 V6 with the basic sync. Occasionally a text will come in while my phone bluetooth is properly enabled, but Sync won't acknowledge it. I haven't been able to replicate the problem to know if using the phone or the radio while the text comes in creates an issue, or maybe there is an...
People who think this isn't the end of the NA v8 motor are way too naive. If this new motor sells well, they will absolutely drop the v8, maybe not tomorrow, but 5-10 years? Definitely. Just look at the success of the v4 turbo, and the recent announcement about getting rid of the v6 as a prime...
I regularly put a 7'9" surfboard in mine, you can either go through the trunk or just put it in your passenger seat, leaving the trunk completely open for any other gear. Being able to fold down the back seats really opens up the possibilities.
This might be something everyone already knows, but I just discovered this recently while looking through the manual for something else. You can put all your personal music on a thumb drive and just leave it plugged into your car and have access to all your music all the time. I had been using...
Thanks for doing this, these clips are extremely helpful. Sounds to me like the overall power of the sound is similar but with the GT exhaust you get that crackle and pop note.
I've got a stock 2016 V6 automatic, filled with 87 octane. Before I started commuting I would average 18mpg between city and highway. Pure high way in summer I would get 26.5 mpg. Now that I'm commuting in heavy city traffic (30mins to go 4.5 miles), I get around 14-15mpg. I would recommend...
If the FOB had all the capabilities (minus metal key) of the stock FOB with zero space waste, I think people would pay $25-50. A fob shell with no buttons, probably $5-10. Black would probably be the most requested.
I support this idea 100%. I know companies have to cut corners somewhere to make a profit, but it's surprising Ford would skimp here knowing that the FOB is something everyone notices and interacts with on a daily basis. I'd bet that thousands of people bought VWs just because of the flip out...
What about car insurance? Technically it's a school and not professional racing, what are the chances of there being an issue? I have safety insurance but I'm hesitant to mention it to my agent since this is a one time thing.
I would agree its further forward than it should be, but for me the bigger issue is that it's so friggin hard. I notice is less after some wear, but it's definitely not soft enough.
That helps a lot. I didn't mean the whole track to myself, I meant running laps surrounded by 10 other cars would make me overly cautious. I see an autocross school event for novices on sept. 25 on the BMW CCA website which sounds about right, I'll have to sign up for that.
How do these track days usually work? Do you have to run laps with others or can you do it by yourself? How much does it cost? I'd love to find a place where I could do a few laps by myself, so I could safely test out my car's performance/handling.
I have the 2016 V6 with cloth seats and also agree the seat is pretty bad. I didn't notice it in the test drive, but after I bought it, it became obvious. I ended up rolling a towel up and stuffing it in the crevice where the back of the seat meets the bottom of the seat. I also bought a memory...
