I use a silicon case and paracord layard, so there is really nothing that can scratch or damage the fob, my house key is in my wallet instead. Fob still looks brand new after 4 months.

ebay or amazon, just search for 2015 mustang key fob skin. Around 8$ each.

Mine peeled off some too. Actually, the damn thing sliced the crap out of my finger! That shit is sharp.

I just don't worry about it. One user fob and one that'll stay brand new looking. Works for me.
