I have a bad habit of walking away from the car with the fob in my pocket and getting the annoying chirp-chirp of the horn (I don't have Forscan), so I just take it out. The fob. I take the fob out. :D

When the car is running and you get out with the key in your pocket it will chirp at you.
Yes, if the door latches shut, it will chirp. I just don't let the door latch shut.
I only do that in my driveway. Why would you get out and leave it running somewhere else? It's not like they are hard to start.

Wife in the car while I run into the store and I want to keep the car on for her and have the AC running... And I forgot my key fob in my pocket. Do it all the time.

Some cars have a slot on the dash that the fob fits into.

If your keep your fob around your neck this is not for you. On road trips thats where I keep it, and I slip my gun right next to the E-brake.

Keeping a gun off your person like that in a car is not a good idea. You would be better off carrying crossdraw or carry something smaller. For lots of reasons...

Right, some do. The S550 does not, unfortunately. I do really like this spot, but that's also when the cupholders don't need to be used.

Oh no. I foresee a gun debate coming on. Might need to peace out of here :D

For right handed shooters, you bet. Way better than keeping it off my person out of my physical control. I can also exit the vehicle quickly and not have to touch or "brandish" my weapon to do so (which might get one killed). Keeping a pistol tucked into the seat is foolish for many more reasons.

If they block your elbow you cant cross draw thats what they say. How do you cross draw with a seat belt?

Faster than you fiddling around between the seats. Also, if I need to take cover, I take the weapon with me.

Not between seats, mine fits perfect in the hand brake when driving. Carry as you wish.
