What beside the screen, radio unit and trim piece needs to be changed to upgrade to the 8 inch screen?
Hextall is on here and thereās a huge thread from him on this topic. I got a quote from him, just trying to figure out if I want to do it. Very reasonable price considering youāre getting a factory unit and they do the programming for you once installedgoogle just brings up a hockey player.
Everything just operates more smoothly and timely on the sync 4 screens as well as wireless carplay instead of being mandatory that it is plugged in for carplay to work or android if you've got a droid.I'm not a fan of touch screens in cars, I would like to have the drive modes.
What cars have sync 4? and what does it do better than 3. Except for the drive modes I like the base screen.
There is a lot there for sure. The easiest is to message him and heāll give you his email. Email him with your model year and VIN and heāll get you a quote. Other than install tools, the only thing youāll need is a laptop and OBDLink EX. Their kit comes with everything you need based on your VIN and model year.Found the thread, lots to read.

Looks like I ruined it. I can get the 8 inch stuff from a u pull it junk yard 109 miles from me. They have 3 cars at this yard and 3 more in Louisville. They want 275 for the hardware. or I can get a used 4 inch screen and radio head unit for right at 200.if you get into replacing hardware,
