I currently own a 2016 mustang gt350 and have been experiencing major electrical issues to this point. Climate control does not display temps on the touch screen, push buttons will not work either to turn on the ac or do anything with the fans. Launch control , exhaust switch does not respond. Brake lights are always on while the car is running. Ac does the hot cold thing. Man... I have rebooted the SYNC many times, disconnected the battery, all to no avail. This problem comes and goes and seems to have no rhyme or reason. Oh ya, rear turn signals are not working either. I feel that this is a bad ground or module. Does anyone have any advice? This is stang #9 for me, so i am used to the normal mustang related garbage. But the GT350 has taken the cake for worst electrical by far. I just wish the car sucked to drive and looked terrible, but car is so fun. HELP PLEASE!!

Best advice I can give is bring it to the dealer. Way too many issues!!
That is what I was trying to avoid, but it might be time to take her in..

You'd be wise to not drive it until the safety lighting issues (at least) are properly resolved. Does it see any rain? What am I thinking its a GT350 so that is highly unlikely....but have to ask any way. If so is the problem more likely to occur then rather than when its been dry out? S197's developed an issue where rain water would find its way in past a grommet and run down over what was known before body modules as the Smart Junction Box which would cause issues within the electrical system and have to be replaced. A loose ground common to all the systems in question would not explain brake lights staying on constantly. So I would tend to rule out a ground issue. A body module or body modules is the more likely suspect IMHO not having a schematic to reference on this S550 platform yet. I need to follow up with my dealer service manager on my request to buy a set of shop manuals.

Second this. Sounds like a BCM issue. Either the unit itself or a bad connection. Dealership should be able to trace the issue down by scanning the vehicles networks.

Good luck.

It has seen the rain a few times. I did have the problem during the summer months as well, but it could have been from a wash.. 4 days ago it was running perfect, no issues. Took if for a drive - about 100 mile round trip and there was rain. Came home parked it. Got in the next day and the issues were back. I had seen some stuff about the water maybe getting into the electrical, buy have no signs of any water in the cabin. There has got to be a common factor with all of these issues. Seem to come and go as a group. I was screwing around a few weeks back when this issue came up and noticed that when i cycled through the driver modes, the climate control would come back briefly and then cut out. I hear a distinct click when the climate control came back from the passenger side fuse box. Is there know issues with this fuse box? I also need to track down a diagram to see if i can narrow this down to a single point of failure.. To clarify, rear taillights are lit, brake pedal still illuminates as it should, just running lights stay on.. UGH

So, got her back from the dealer yesterday. There was an aftermarket radar detector that was installed by the previous owner that was the suspect according to ford. They removed it and gave me an all clear ($320 to remove due to aftermarket gear). Well it seemed to fix the problem until I rolled it into work today. Had the heater going, seats and fan, and the damn climate control and heated seat indicator was turning off and on again for no apparent reason. So I am at a crossroad. I think i will go through the wiring myself to see if there are any burnt connections or loose wires/grounds. I would think at $160 an hour these guys would be better. I will continue to update as progress is made.
