Anyone have any experience how to remove the upper shock mount on a magnaride car. I would think the plug has to be removed to get a socket over the wires. If so what did you use to de pin the plug? What's the torque on the nut?

?? You disconnect the plug and undo two bolts (15 mm sockets if I remember correctly). That's all. Torque I can probably find little later but you don't need that for removal.

I haven't looked at it in awhile. Does the nut fit over the plug?

I think the confusion here is not the shock from.the car, it the mount from.the shock I'm looking at doing. Want to change the stops for lower springs. It appears you have to de-pin the plug

A new magneride shock comes with the shock mount. You just unbolt the two 15 mm bolts, unplug the shock, remove.

What do you mean by de-pin the plug?

I think that since cable comes out of the top side of the damper and through the mount, plug wouldn't fit thought the hole to move mount to the new damper. I looked up manual procedure, it's completely silent on this (unbolt damper, bolt new one in), if the damper comes with the mount, that might be the reason.

You guys are awesome! I just bought your mounts! I had your lower control arms on my 2013 Shelby. They were spectacular!
