Just wanted to post pictures of my custom shift knob for the auto.
White Madness Garage knocked it out of the park. A big thanks to @monte87 for the referral.
Installation was pretty easy. The instructions lack a few details however.
1. You’ll need a small screwdriver or something to pry the boot off of the OE knob.
2. Ensure you have the new knob oriented correctly when installing. It’s possible to install it backwards. Ask me how I know…
3. The instructions say you can use the supplied screws or the factory screws. The factory screws are too short so don’t bother.

Very nice :) I am a fan of the orange to match the other orange accents :) In my case anyway it was... I presume your car is FJG with orange accents?

Very nice! Yes indeed, FJG. I don’t want to overdo the orange but the shifter adds such a nice amount.

Agreed. I actually got rid of some of the orange on mine. Removed the side stripes :) But otherwise all intact.

I have a white madness garage shifter for my A10. I like it a lot. It does have a little play in it but I think it’s unavoidable. Like a couple of mm in all directions.

Interesting. I haven’t noticed any but only just put it on and haven’t driven the car since.

You should be able to sit in the garage and wiggle it. Either it moves or it doesn’t. I’d be interested to know if yours wiggles and exactly what model you got. They have a couple of different designs.

Since it doesn't seem to have a button up top, do you just push down on the whole knob when shifting?

You can see there’s now a collar on the shaft under the knob. You push the knob down while pulling up on the collar. Similar to the reverse lockout on the 6spd.

Neat! Interesting look OP. I personally am not really a fan of the knob on automatics but it is a cool touch for those that are interested in having a similar look to the manual shifter!
The start button you have is pretty cool, I like that it says M1 on it. Another cool touch.

got mine from white madness too, they did laser engraving and I also converted my boot to manual look, the PRNDS label was useless cause did not even light up and I can see on dash anyway,

That’s an amazing idea, I may have to steal that from you. I’ve always thought the auto bezel was an afterthought. This is my first auto Mustang in 30 years and it’s hard to look at that area and see such a dismal shifter boot. Thanks!
