How many miles are on the car? Did the dealer do the transmission swap? I believe smog related issues are under warrantee for 100k by state law or something like that.
I’ve been using them for about 1.5 years and no problems. I hated the silver screw heads so I used some paint pen that is for touching up anodized aluminum on guns and blacked them over… you cant even see them now.
TJ, I’ve emailed the general sales; they told me to email John… that is kinda lame. But, John said he has to get pricing. But I expected that to take a day or two not a week.
I’m sure it’s an off the shelf nut that I can buy at Granger or even an Ace hardware if I knew the size, thread pitch and the grade of nut I’d buy two locally.
I’v had good and bad customer support at Steeda… the good- a guy on this fourm reached out via pm to help me with a bump stop question in minutes! Fantastic! The latest bad: last Monday I emailed asking to buy two new top nuts for a strut as the steeda camber plate kit I bought did not come...
Another thing to consider is the new battery is not good; in my F150 2 years ago I put a new battery. Truck/battery is original at 5 years so i always replace at 5 years. I always buy interstate (well not anymore) I go down have them put a new battery in. I drive away happy but shocked at the...
I’m and auto trans and have the same irs mods you do; I also have steeda front and rear sway bars (although I think they are a little stiff) and zero weight transfer in my driving. I am also coming from a PP1 set up and after these suspension mods it’s a completely different car.
There is alot of guys here that know more than I do but from all my research (I went with the ford performance track dampers and steeda minimum drop) it seems the factory PP dampers are not adequate to properly dampen those springs or the stock PP springs. Steeda has lots of options on dampers...
Sergio, you are awesome thanks! My stops are factory length from Eibach but I don’t know if they are shorter than factory ford stops. Can you tell me what the length of factory ford stops are front and rear?
I have to reinstall my front struts and they are damaged (long story but don’t let the alignment guys fuck around with your struts and an impact gun on the top nut).
When I first assembled them the advice I was given from a couple of guys here was not to trim them with the Ford Performance...
When I had orignal links, I loctited and had new nuts… twice. Zero difference. Then, I purchased Steeda links… no different. I’m curious about what to use that K4fxd was talking about.
What would you use for a bushing that goes through the strut slot? I have clunked for months and can’t figure it out. Part of the problem for me is getting enough leverage on a wrench to tighten this. Maybe I need to make a cheater bar to go over my wrench.
I’ve been chasing this noise too in mine. I’ve ripped it all apart once myself, took it to a guy that builds Mustang race cars, he drove it couldn’t find any wrong. He tore everything out and put it back together.
I recently changed sway bar end links and it still continues. Now I’m about...
The handling and hooking up is vastly improved… like it’s not even the same car. It actually feels like it’s gets the power so much better. It’s firmer but all the wallowing around crap is gone.
The guy that did mine told me he’s don dozens of them (he is a mustang focused shop) and he said sometimes they come right out (like mine did) and other times it has taken him 6-7 hours. Hearing that, and him having a lift and me being in my mid 50’s I said I’ll let him do it rather than me...
